Opting Out  by blackbradxl

Some new details in on the assassination attempt on President Boxwood. The suspect is now in custody and being transported to an undisclosed location. Our sources say the attacker was not a terrorist as some believed. The suspect was in fact American and a long time resident of Atlanta Georgia where the attack took place. Some speculations suggest the suspect has ties to the mafia.

"The mafia are they serious. Do they really think anyone will believe that bull." Marty was sitting on a couch in the mall's security office watching the news report while Ben the security guard was tending to his shoulder.

Ben spotted them hiding in an appliance storage room on the mall security camera. He was skeptical when they first explained the situation but after returning to the security office they were able to convince him. It was easy to believe after they showed him the four men in black suits roaming the mall making a poor attempt at looking inconspicous.

"Shouldn't you remove the bullet?" Trisha asked Ben as he finished wrapping a bandage around Marty's shoulder.

'They always remove the bullet on CSI. I think you should remove the bullet. How do you know how to do that anyway? Do you even know what your doing?"

Ben got up from the couch and walked over to the security monitors where Trisha was sitting. "I'm a volunteer EMT and yes I know what i'm doing. No, I can't remove the bullet it's in too deep, and shouldn't you be watching the monitors."

"Where are they now?" Marty asked as he attempted to get up from the couch only to fall back down in pain.

"Still blocking all the exits. I think there are eight of them now." Trisha answered

Ben was now pacing back and forth. "We should call the cops. We need to get Marty to a hospital." He walked to the phone in the corner of the room.

"No." said Marty "We don't know who's on their side. We have to get out of here, and I suggest you stay here and pretend you never saw us."

The three of them were so caught up in the moment they didn't notice the man who had quietly stepped through the open door.

"Come on now Marty. Let's not be selfish. I'm always up for more people joining the party."
