"The Closet" -> "Hanging Clothes" -> "Killer in the Closet"

Corpse in the Crimescene  by aspiring-author

The crime scene was a bare of any clues as usual, Canada crouched low to get a clear image of the strangulation wounds on the woman handcuffed to the bed. She slowly pushed down on the shutter button on her state of the art camera. "I think the cause of death is pretty obvious don't you?" whispered Rick as she snapped another pickture of the womans possitionon the bed. "And I think its obvious who it was who did it"

Canada, could barely hear him but still managed to reply "Have you never heard of such thing as a copy cat killer?"
Rick replied with a smirk on his face "Oh I must have been off that day huh?" She turned to the open closet and quickly snapped a picture of the only item of clothing left hanging within. "Its creepy ain't it? The way its just hanging there... all forlorn..." It was creepy... really creepy, and that was exactly why Canada preferred to completely zone out all emotion when she had to deal with these cases.

"Yes, Mr. Johnson it is "creepy" and that is exactly why you and your team have to catch this killer before he takes another victim, the media is having a feild day over this "cloakroom killer" and its making a complete mokery of our establishment" Harris had this amazing skill that he could pronounce the inverted comma's in a sentance. Harris' large build domineered the poky room and as he was currently stading by the tiny door leafing through the deaceased's possesstions the space became smaller smaller every second.

"Any indication of her name? age? any family? any friends?" Harris asked distractedly.

"Sarah Adams, 26. Family in Ohio, a different woman at her house every night apparently, she was only dead 4 hours before a close friend called..." Rick glanced at his papers and carried on "... Gary Jones, called round to pick her up for work and when he saw the cat wasn't in and she wouldn't answer the door he broke the door down to see if everything was alright and found her like this. He moved nothing."

"Well... at least thats something, where is he now?" replied Harris.
"At the station, sir" Rick snapped in return, hoping that Harris would not ask the next question.

"And what did she work as?" Said Harris brusquely, asking the exact question that Rick had been hoping he wouldn't. "Well... well sir.. well..." Rick stuttered, Canada could see how badly he was struggling to explain to awkward situation to his superior officer.
"Sir, Sarah Adams worked as a lap dancer in a local bar, Gary Jones was the barman. There is some mention of immoral earnings... sir." Canada mentally made a note to make Rick owe her something for that.
"Ah... well that is..." Harris lost his nerve for a second there but quickly recovered it "Going to effect the media representation of this case."

Harris was too obsessed with the medias representation of his cases for anyone on who worked with him to really respect his abilities as a detective, Canada quickly found the best way to get on his good side and be able to carry on with her work without anymore of his distractions. "This is exactly why we have decided to clean up this mess without any delay sir." What Harris loved more than anything was having people conform to his ideas and happily accept his rules, To Canadas delight Harris looked over with a distinct look of pleasure on his face.

As he turned to leave he announced "Well Mr. Jones, get your team right on to it, I will be seeing you."

Rick rolled his eyes, and Canada turned back to her work trying to repress the fear that was building within her for the young women who lived in this area. The Killer whoever he or she was, was thinking of a new method of murder almost every time making it more and more difficult for the police to track them.
It was going to be difficult, really difficult.
