I'd like to believe you, aptriplett. In the world of online identities, it's often impossible to tell who is on the other end except, of course, by what they write. Whoever accessed your account has done a lot of damage and has built quite a bad reputation for you. Although I have to admit, this explanation sounds to me like a clever excuse to place the blame on someone else. In any case, time will tell. Lost trust is hard to regain.

I just wanted to say that while I appreciate you taking the time to type out your apologies and explanation, I can't help but halfway agree with lamexicanita86. How do we know that you're not just passing the blame? I, for one, was incredibly victimized by your "friend" and I don't plan on returning anytime soon. My account has been deleted as well as what I tried to write. Maybe you should consider the fact that not everyone has the same sense of humor and things that are meant to be funny very often come out as hurtful.

Hehe, he's playing with you all..people here are writers, remember ? They invent things. Psychological analyses aside, someone is into a very clever scheme here - his/her agenda remains , and probably will, remain unknown : from joviality to malice. Hell knows. Is it really a problem for even a mediocre writer to ''invent'' a new personality? Doubt it. Who's to say that people cannot be involved in the game - and if this person is so clever...yes that's the only thing one can be (almost) certain about. Whoever does it might appear stupid - but is not. The best solution is to ignore. No reaction at all. Period. In life it is more difficult - but here ? Bah.

Why would SM try to insult writers until they feel they have to leave? Having writers on the site is how they draw advertising dollars. More writers = more money.

I think that whoever this person is, he/she is having a good laugh right now...as people keep debating whether this ''change'' is genuine or not.What a clever marketing technique.

To end it on my part : the previous ''apt'' was clearly cogent. He called his comments ridiculous once, this would mean he was/is aware of their nature.

I stand firmly by all of my comments, wanted or not. (With the exception of the nice ones I gave out to someone who was using ghostwriters....THOSE, I took back).
And I welcome all of yours...the good, the bad and the ugly.

" Focus your attentions on those that offer something productive and of value in their critisism"--Fabulous ! Turn away the negative constructive criticism if its really bad but do read it, it strengthens our attributes.
