You decide to isolate the prison by cutting down the telephone wires. With a skillful throw of the knife you cut them down. You then hurry to the garage and discover that it is deserted. You quickly puncture tires of all cars except one, so that you cannot be followed.

You sit in the car and drive at full speed towards the prison gates. You close your eyes at the impact, and to your relief find that you managed to force your way out of the prison.

You look behind you and see the prison swarming with lights and guards. You are happy to see that you aren’t being followed, but your joy is short-lived. You notice the car slowing down, and then abruptly coming to a stop within three miles of the prison. You realize that the car might have been damaged during the impact with the gate.

You set to the nearest town on foot, and arrive there at dawn. You buy new clothes and burry your old identity. The next day you leave the country.
