MONEY TALKS - April 26  by alharris

Money Talks

Our money speaks

in many tongues

Mine said, 'Spend me,'

when I was young

It said, 'Grow me,'

in later years

as family grew

through sweat and tears

It said, 'Hold me,'

as fiscal signs

react to fear

in cautious times

When I grew old

it said again,

'While there's time,

it's time to spend.'

And when I died

its voice turned blue,

'I did not want to

die with you.'
