Keys are dangerous they unlock doors that shouldn't be opened, picking up a key you found in a dead man's coffin is an even worse idea. But thats exactly what Lauren did and soon she would pay the price. Lauren didn't see anything wrong with picking it up, it had been in her fathers coffin and even though she had never seen it before she thought it belonged to him. Picking up the key she had put it on a chain and around her neck so she could be close to him again.  At first everything was great good things were finally happening to Lauren. She got a promontion, a hot guy asked her out and she was finally able to buy a house. Then the goods things started to turn black. But the worse was still to come and Lauren's very soul and sanity are at stake.

But lets go back to the beginning, Lauren looked like one of those people who could have anything they wanted she was pretty, smart and came from a loving family. But everything she got Lauren had worked extremely hard for. Even those she worked for a successful publishing house that most people would kill for Lauren hated it, she wasn't much more than her bosses slave. The only differce was Lauren got paid for her hard regrading labour.

When her father had gotten sick she'd immediately quit her job to take care of him, and when he'd died she'd struggled with her grieve and finding a new job. Lauren didn't think it could get any worse but then again she didn't know she was putting a cursed object around her neck.
