The story so far:
Who can live without an alarm clock? I would guess that the little object sitting next to the bed, with numbers that scream louder than the sound it emits, has become an absolute necessity in most peoples lives. This little device, that is often taken for granted, gives us the ability to flourish. Our day is started with those illuminant numbers and ends by the same bright digits.
My alarm clock is the basic black square. It has an on and off switch, buttons to adjust the time, the numbers are large and shine a bright red. Some days it's a blessing, those days I hear the annoying hum and start my day. Other days it's a curse, when I inadvertently sleep through the consistent lull of noise, leaving me to feel defeated, behind, and angry that the square did not hold its promise of waking me up!
