I Couldn't Move (Chapter one)  by Swriter

Today was going to be normal, a fine day. Nothing too exiting. just getting by. but life never works like that and it never did. I was sopposed to go to school, have "fun" with my less than boring friends, come back home, eat and sleep. Then do as my music instructer would say, "aaaand repeat."

My mother wakes me up with her usual yell, "SIDEL, SIDEL, Wake up for day 62 of school year 3019". in case you didnt catch on, "mother" is a computer. A bland, boring, out of date, 2060's gaurdian bot. yah i geuss i should explain why i have one of those now.

I am sidel, a 16 year old adolecant who lacks exitement and secretly craves for something fun and new. The reason im in a "refuge" (which is really just another word for "place for multi-celled organisms with no soul") is because  im genetically modified (another term for "man-made piece of crap")from an old retro species: the grizzly bear or Something like that. i'm not sure what it was exactly, all i know is its extinct.

I get up and start walking to school with the same usual thought in my head. Why doesnt anyone adopt me? Mother sais it is because my species was violent which aperently makes me violent, which is ironic because i have never been in a fight in my life. It's odd that people ignore me, fight the thought of my existance, just because im different. Even if that difference is just a small description of a cell away. I've gotten used to it though. people dont seem to mind at school though. It's really just the proffesors that treat me like **** though.

As soon as i arive at school, while making my way through the noise of jocks and preps, i find my way to a little table where i find my friends... a group of kids of 5 who consider themselves "punks". hah. kids dont even know what the word means, they just like the way it sounds. punk really died in the 80's.

Before class starts. im at my locker, usually expecting a few shoves and kicks from a jock, i hear the intercom: "SIDEL SIDEL, please report to the office." This was a suprise to me. no proffesor ever wanted to speak with me or even look at me. but i tuff up, grab my stuff and make my way down.
