“Fire…” I whispered into the chilling night air. I lifted my hand in the darkness in front of me, and flames erupted from my palm; it didn’t burn me…oh, no… fire is my friend. And in the dark of night, all I have. I heard a branch snap; I whipped my head around and closed my hand, extinguishing the flame. “Air…” I hissed into the night once more and was still around me. I lifted my hand once more and all the leaves stirred around me. I flicked my hands backwards and they rushed into the trees, at that, I sprinted off in the opposite direction.
“You” a cold voice rang through the trees. I stopped running and turned around.
“Me” I gave a short laugh. I strode back into the clearing. “You know you never were intimidating” I snickered, snapping my fingers, so a small flame appeared. He strode into the clearing as well. All I could see were his blue eyes, glinting in the light of the fire; I stared into them for a second with my own grey ones before remembering to look away. I gently blew on the flame; it floated over to him and encircled him at the waist from a distance, not touching him, but not allowing him to move with. “The best you could do was scare Kana, but then again, she never really was scared… it was mostly for your amusement…”
“Ahh, Elaine, this is your form of entertainment?”
“Ahh, Asch, you know you’re always been my entertainment” I moved closer to him, the flames still licking at his clothes. He laughed. I snapped my finger again and the flames disappeared. “Water…” I spoke softly. A wall of water erupted from the ground, In front of me. I gently blew out air and it slowly froze, cracking as it did so. Then I blew him a kiss before disappearing into the shadows. I turned and headed towards the faint purple of the rising sun.
