If Only You Could  by Stormbird_57

You can sing her every song if you want to

and write hundreds of poems for her eyes only

Though you sing and write to her, she's still blue

cause you're not there and she feels oh so lonely.

You can tell her she's as beautiful as she can be

and she dresses like a princess for a fancy ball

That she's as pretty as an angel, but she doesn't see

through the tears in her eyes, for you aren't there at all.

You can sing it, you can write it, you can say it

But you can't bring it in the night and light it

You can tell it, you can sell it, it's what she's dreaming of

If only you could use it with her, this little thing called love.

Day times and night times are quickly slipping away

and soon the gold hair and dark hair will turn to gray

You want to be with her so what's holding you back

for you want what she wants, it's what you both lack.
