There is a state that we come into, this is known as our state of mental stability.
We slip and slide in and out of this state.
It is almost like a roller coaster with its ups and its downs.
The highest part of the scale is the scariest. This is where we think, "I gotta get off this ride!"
Some of us do... and sadly they don't always get off in the nicest ways.
There are better ways to maintain a healthy mind.
One way is to rid of stress.
It turns out stress is one of the leading causes to mental illness. Stress makes you think, it makes you panic, it makes you paranoid and it makes you sometimes wish you were falling off of a bridge.
If you would just see that there are better ways to deal with your stress than maybe you wouldn't feel so... well stressful.
Here are a couple great ways to deal with stress,
This first one is honestly my favourite and that is physical activity.
Trust me it doesn't only make you feel relaxed but it clears your head of everything and for the rest of the day you feel on top of the world.
Another way to relief stress is to talk to someone about it.
Now just a warning, when you talk to someone make sure it is someone who is a good listener and will be able to tell you something back that isn't necessarily advice but is just a simple, "I'm hearing you out" type statement.
When I say I want to "talk" I am not asking for any ones opinions or advice I just want to have someone sit there and quietly and respectfully listen to what it is that is on my mind without judging me.
Another thing you could try is writing in a journal.
It helps if you don't want to talk to anyone about what is going on with you.
It just stays between you, your pen and your paper.
Watching a really good movie helps me out sometimes.
I find that if I put on an old movie that I haven't seen since I was like six, I can really have a good laugh and just feel really awesome about my life and the laughing actually gives me this nice feeling you know?
Laughter's the best medicine.
Having a good cry is actually really helpful.
To be honest if you just sit in your room and cry your eyes out for a while, you'll eventually out cry yourself.
Like how you leave a baby in its crib to cry themselves to sleep.
It works exactly like that.
You normally will feel a little better once you let it all out.
Now another one that I also love is taking a nap.
Nap's are just amazing... it's so refreshing and you feel really calm and cool after.
My final tip would have to be baking.
It's fun to cook up your favourite meals and eat it.
I personally recommend you make ice cream. Why I say this is because ice cream you have to pound together in a baggy for a good couple of minutes and it just makes you feel good to hit something that you can eat after!
Plus... ice cream's awesome to make on a warm summers day.
Well that's my list of stress reliever's.
Hope it helps your guys out as much as it helps me.
If you want me to write more chapters like these let me know, I'd actually be happy to share some tips on keeping a healthy mind and body.
Remember when the going gets tough, it's okay to take a break and then go try again.
