Yuri watched as the eye ball rolled across the carpet. Her eyes widened. She began to scream.
Zerra snickered. "Haven't you ever scene someone with a glass eye?"
Yuri shook her head nervously.
"Well now you have."
Yuri bent down to pick up the glass ball and--
The child's body was suddenly crushed under the cement.
Zerra stood there motionless.
Yuri's eyes filled with tears as she whaled. "Zerra don't leave me!"
"She was of no use to us anyways." Jordan pointed turning the other way as blood oozed from Yuri's stomach.
"Don't leave me." Yuri begged. "Please don't leave me here."
Zerra's lip quivered in frustration.
"Don't leave me!" Yuri screamed as the others turned to go.
Zerra walked towards her and pressed his lips to her forehead.
Yuri gripped his dark hair in her hand and cried out in pain.
"Zerra leave her!" Jordan shouted turning back to look.
Zerra pulled his lips away gently and smiled at the young girl. "If we pull this off of you the shock may kill you."
Yuri began to panic.
"Or we can leave you to die slowly and painfully."
The young girl pulled harder on his hair causing them to be face to face.
Zerra glared at her but ten his face softened. "Or I can do this quickly and there will be know suffering."
"I can bury you under a big tree and put flowers in your hair like a crown and it will be as though you went to sleep."
Yuri's face turned pale. "I don't want to die."
"It will be quick."
Yuri watched as Zerra clean his glass eye on his t-shirt.
He popped it back in then took off his chain with the cross on it. "Here take it." He placed it on her neck as a tear slid down his cheek smearing the dirt that had already been there. "Lord forgive me for I have sinned." With that he snapped the child's neck.
Jordan's jaw dropped.
Zerra stood up and frowned. "Help me dig her out."
Jordan walked over unsteadily.
Zerra began pulling bricks off of the girls body.
"You k-k-killed her." Jordan choked.
Zerra glanced at him and nodded.
Jordan watched as blood poured out of the girls mouth. "I think I am going to be sick."
"If your going to do that then do it over there." Zerra said calmly.
"How many people have you killed!?" Jordan screamed tackling the smaller boy. "How many!?"
The rest of the the children watched in horror.
The extra bones in Zerra's spine shot out stabbing Jordan in the arm.
Jordan's skin turned white.
Zerra pushed the boy away from him and curled into a ball. "Don't come near me."
The children hid behind Jordan.
"Your a monster." Gretal squeaked her green eyes filling with fear.
Zerra again nodded.
"Its because of creatures like you that this war began!" Jordan yelled.
Zerra screamed in terror as the flash of light blinded him once again.
