Ere We Met  by SilenceiztheonlyWord

Ere we met, heavy I was.
Of the world I stayed bescreen'd.
Foolish  to think I were to be rejected.
Thou took me into thy home and showed nothing but love.
I urg'd withal shame.
Blind to see I was loved.
I had not known love.
Love was a game, a joke, a thorn.
I had not known anything more.
Shall I only say once that I feel something in your presence.
May it be... could it?
I may never know.
Could you kin show me.
Teach me to love and maybe your kindness will be returned.
