Axl Rose, eh? Interesting choice.

This is a wonderful little story we've got going here, mostly because it's the sort of thing that's very difficult to judge. People get themselves into these little messes more often than most of us are privy to, so it's pretty easy to continue this any way you'd like.
I guess if you're *already* there and you have the opportunity, once more isn't going to hurt, right? :)
One thing I'm sure of, though. Our protaginist's troubles are not DONE.
I'm reminded of the old film "A Fish Called Wanda." When John Cleese's character is trying to cheat on his wife with Wanda, a careful reading of his wife's behavior makes it quite clear that she knows what's going on but she chooses not to say anything. As in this case, we got drunk again in the driveway, and our wife met us at the door. Hmm...

Didn't Cleese's character run away with Wanda and live happily ever after in the end? (I don't quite remember).

Yeah, I agree with the usual consequences of these kinds of shenanigans, but I just wanted to give it an unbelievably tight, easy end. No fuss, no muss.
