If I Could  by Rajasir

The large TV screen was facing the whole family, sitting around a small table in the center of the drawing room. Suddenly the daily episode of "All is Well" appeared. Everyone went quite, for they all knew they were in for something unexpected and thrilling, not leaving the element of fear.

The father looked at his young son, about 19, and tried to smile vainly. His son tried to reciprocate with the faint reflection of the gesture presented by his father. All other members, the mother, young sisters, three in numbers, as if mute and horrified, had their eyes fixed on to the screen.

Why all that was happening to them was a mystery? The TV serial presented the family with same members and relations. The actors were playing their roles everyday but the incidents were really taking place in the lives of the family just described.

Yesterday, a dog was found dead in the backyard of the house in the TV serial. Right after the episode, a neighbor came running in and informed them that their dog was found dead in the backyard. All were thunderstruck. They knew that it was actually happening to them and the TV serial, as if, was going to decide their destiny in the near future.
