Hmmm...computers helping us take control of our lives....interesting...different than the usual taking over our lives stories we hear. It would have been a little easier of a read if the transitions from human dialogue and computer monologue were a little more distinct. Maybe a different font or italics from one to the other. I like that the computer has a semblance of humanity expressed in its "feelings" about it's subjects. I am a little confused about some of the characters though...does the computer have the ability to see and "feel" all it does before someone actually registers with it? I wasn't sure if all of them had. Can it experience the spouse's thoughts and feelings if only one spouse is registered? Or does it just observe, in that case, and make its assumptions based on what it sees? Could use some more descriptive dialogue...to set apart the humans from the computer. It seems like the computer is more human than the humans, because we don't read anything about their gestures, postures or attitudes when they speak. I like the idea. I gave it a 2.5.
