Xylith was worried. The Official Website of "Save the world from OriginalSim" was down. They had a fund raising drive and the website was critical to its success.
The door bell rang. Nervously, Xylith peered out the security peephole. Two men were there, looking around to see if anyone was following them. One had a laptop and impatiently rang the doorbell once again.
"Kooks," thought Xylith, but opened the door anyway.
The two men swarmed in like bees after honey.
"Lissen, Bub. We got no time to explain this fully. However, we have a corrected version of your website loaded onto this laptop. You need to take it and fix your website. Otherwise the whole entire world will be lost and gone forever with a lot of people getting..."
He was cut off by the little man with the big head and a box of Kleenex. "We have no time for all that. Leave it and lets go."
"Right. You just take that," said the man with the slight British accent to Xylith, "and we'll just go. You can leave a message here."
A business card was shoved into Xylith's hand and the two men swarmed out as they had entered. Xylith glanced at the card - it was to some unfamiliar bowling alley. The card got tossed onto the nearest flat surface.
Xylith stared at the laptop awhile before opening the cover.
"Hmmmm. Never heard of this model. 'Ascraker 5000' has 10 gigs of RAM and a Hyperion Mega Graphics card according to this label. Hmmmm. What the heck is a Pentium 7 tri-core processor? Wow. Bet it's fast!"
The on switch was a green button with the international symbol for power switches. Xylith held a finger over the button, mouth twisted in a sort of grimace-smile. As the finger slowly descended, Xylith would have sworn scary music started playing from somewhere.
The laptop sprang to life instantly as the button clicked. A splash screen flickered on. Xylith let out a little yelp. It said:
"Anal Shell version 2.5 Copyright (c) 2012 by Ondonterron Industries. All Rights Reserved"
Xylith locked all the doors, took all the phones off the hook and closed all the shades. It was going to be a long night.
