You absolutely have to love the human mind...every individual sees (in this case, reads) the same thing but, sees (in this case, writes) something different...lol. This, the "tamest" mash so far is also the most detailed and researched (I think). Great chapter OS!! In case you didn't see my other comments, I've elected (yep, freedom, gotta love it, too) not to continually comment...vote is 5 points. It will be five points in this series until it isn't and then, I'll point out the fact that it isn't.

Wow...OS, this is absolutely fantastic man. I think I was most engrossed in this than any of the others thus far. Nice back story to provide details. We got us a ghost!
Suppose I could do the research...but wondering how much is fact vs. fiction?

Okay the whole Angus MacSwain thing is my imagination, including the lyrics I made up. There was a Battle of Cowan's Ford in 1781 and Cornwallis did surrender later that year. The area just kind of fell into place when I did a search for things south of Denver. There really is a Denver, NC and a Cornelius across from Lake George. Never been there but the internets are a wonderful place to see such stuff!!!

Thanks folks! It was a blast writing this one because the more I dug around on the internet the more stuff kept popping out at me and fitting into place like a sweeping jigsaw puzzle. It almost wrote itself, but I did do a little bit on my own ;o)

This is one of the most compelling chapters I've read in a long time. It's like I got a pre-chill of what could possibly come from this storyline. I could hear the "swush" of the sword - not now but later!

Jeez, now I feel like a jerk. I unintentionally broke into this mini-contest without knowing that Psycho and Dog had set up planned authors and such. I apologize for having intruded!

There is no intrusion... This is just an experimental project I wanted to try to see how well it works out. The goal is to bring a group of writers together and have them interact and get to know one another, hone skills, make contacts, and have fun bringing all the different storylines to an end. It is working really well so far, and when this one is done, I plan to host another with a different group of authors. Hopefully you'll be on board when that time comes. Your storyline will be added upon, that I can almost guarantee... I will have to do some research so that I don't screw anything up if I give it a shot...
