Sinful sweets like cocoa treats
should never be eaten before bedtime.
Oh, but what better death is there
than to drown in a sensual swamp of chocolate syrup?
To choke on a hedonistic handful of Hershey's kisses?
To suffocate in a quixotic quicksand of hot fudge?
It seduces, then moves in for the kill.
The sweet aroma intoxicates me,
setting me up for the big fall.
When it thankfully comes, it lasts but a few seconds.
Pleasure turns to pain.
Pain becomes orgasmic.
I open my eyes.
The sultry nightmare is over.
I writhe in bed,
my feverish body awash in a flood of milky chocolate memories.
I ache to bring them back,
to feel the rush all over again.
The sweat won't dry till tomorrow,
when I can get my fix again
to fuel my dreams and light up my night.
Sure, it's a killer.
But it's good for me.
