A Woman Scorned VI (draft)  by Mjswrites4u

Matt met me at the corner drug store.  He rushed into a conversation about a woman that was bothering a friend of his.  Would I help him get rid of this woman.  Sure I would, maybe I would get killed instead of her.  He gave me all the information I needed to find this woman. Then I asked what her name was. At the same time he said it (my name) he pulled a gun out of his pocket.  Thank you, thank you I said to myself.

I laughed and he looked confused.

"Go ahead, Matt." I said, "I've been trying to do it ever since he left me.  I have nothing, no reason to go on in this hell without him."

Matt turned away from me as he put the gun back into his pocket.

"Come back, please end this." I bent over, then dropped to my knees, my head in my hands, I sobbed until there were no more tears.

"Lady, are you alright?"  A man's voice asked.

"Oh, sure, I'm fine."

"Can I take you somewhere? Do you want to go home?"

"Yes, I'll go home." I said totally drained from wanting to die, from wanting what I will never have again, from being humiliated.  The man walked with me to my apartment that was only a half a block away.
