She quickly moved forward, making her way over to a crowd that blocked not only her sight but also the road to her house. She tapped a man’s shoulder, asking him in a monotone voice what was going on. “ Ah there is a fortune teller. ” the man said quickly as he tossed her a smile. She nodded and looked into the man’s cold eyes.. without second thought she brushed her way past the man. “ Are you stupid?.. Why place yourself in the middle of the street when there is…. ” she silenced herself the moment everything got through to her.
“ Good day miss.. take a seat.. ” the woman said in a hypnotizing voice motioning for her to sit down. She could only obediently nod, as her legs didn’t respond to her objection and made their way over to the fortune teller. “ I’ll predict your future.. but first we have to go through your past..” the woman continued once she had seated her next victim. “ You have beautiful brown hair, and eyes… and your face is as beautiful as the night itself.. tell me, … how is your mother doing?.. ” the woman said staring into her eyes. “ Mother ” she said in a monotone voice as she looked straight into the woman’s eyes, “ Mother’s doing fine. ” she answered honestly as she coldly stared into the fortune tellers eyes. “ What about your father my dear? ” the woman said with a smirk on her face, which grew with every word that came out. “ Father… ” she mumbled, “ My dad hm?..” she quickly added. “ He… left this world just like… you’re about too little witch. ” she muttered before drawing her sword, ready to slash the woman to pieces.
Before she was even able to strike the fortune teller she was down on the ground, headless. Her eyes blinking one last time before they remained open staring lifeless into the world they had just left. “ Women shouldn’t carry around dangerous weapons like that. ” the male that had appeared before her said with a grin on his face as he quickly pulled his claws back in.
She glared at the man in front of her, the man she had known for years and hated. “ Drake, why do you appear before me all of a sudden when you do not have the right? You should be locked up like the other egoistic men that follow in your footsteps. ” she said as she held her sword protectively in front of herself. “ Well well Viviane you haven’t even changed a bit since we last met, how is your sister doing? ” Drake said with a wide grin as he looked up at the darkened night sky. “ She is better off ever since you both stopped being friends, and turned into lifelong rivals.” Viviane answered trying to get the man’s attention. “ Hey, look at me when I’m talking to you filthy beast. ” she shouted angrily as she walked up to the man. “ No.. filthy beast isn’t even worthy enough to call you.. ” she continued as she grabbed his collar and slightly lifted him of off the ground. Only to gain an emotionless gaze pushed upon her. “ I see.. you still didn’t get over your hatred then. ” Drake said as he grabbed her collar and lifted herself of off the ground, making her let go of his collar instead. “ Listen to me Viviane, what he did is not my fault, nor other men’s fault so go home to your sister and mother and take care of them like he would have done understood? ” Drake yelled in her face though in a kind way, in return gaining an approving nod for a moment, leaving her silent for a split second. “ Fine. ” she answered obediently looking away from him. “ Now let me go, I don’t need your help or advice so get your nose out of my business. ” she said, quickly after Drake loosened his grip on her collar allowing her to stand tall on the ground. “ Then I’ll be leaving. ” she said sheathing her sword back in, “ Don’t tell her you saw me..” Drake said just before she quickly made her way through the crowd.
Not noticing the smile he tossed her as she wandered off, let alone hear what he said after that.
“ One day I’ll make you understand, and forget all of the misery. ” he muttered as he turned away to follow his own path.
