Gone Away  by Metzgermeister

It's too late, my dear, I'm gone away

I can't say I'll see you around

It's all too much for me to stay

I see today that you always led me astray

My reasons for leaving, a plethora, abound

Follow me, dear! - It's too late, I'm gone away

You were a liar - to my utter dismay

Nothing but a temptress with a terrible power to astound

Me, but it's all too much for me to stay

I would have had your hand in May

But, promised to another - his queen - you were crowned

Now, follow me to the abyss! It's too late, I'm gone away

I always knew that my fate was that of a stray

My nightmares realized in torment; sorrow so profound

That it's all too much for me to stay!

I will mournfully allow my body to decay

And bury myself in the forsaken ground

Because it's all too much for me to stay!

My dear, it's much too late. I'm already gone away.
