The story so far:
He makes it to the edge of the city after hours of wondering. If he returns now, unthinkable events will take place.
He walks through the forest. His heart attempts to free itself from him. From this nobody. He swiftly and soundlessly moves through the branches.
He sights the house. It is surrounded by nothing but plant life. No lamps are lit inside. He must do this.
He finds the key under the rug. He lifts it off of the ground and puts it in the door. He slowly turns the handle, closing it on his way inside. It is warm and peaceful, but he only feels cold and rotten.
He walks into her bedroom, and is once again taken back by her gentle beauty. He removes the pill from his pocket, and as she stirs slips it into her mouth. Her eyes open instantly. Her face loses color. Now that she cannot speak or move, he can take her. He must hurry, for it will wear off soon.
He now travels with her to her father's bedroom. He takes the pendant from his neck and pricks his own finger. He stabs her father in the heart.
He explains that he's not hurt, but won't wake up until the pendant is removed. She manages to scowl.
He picks her up and runs out the door. He did it. Now he just has to get there.
