A good chapter....very warm and heartfelt.

Pretty good chapter. I like how she found a new life in the same place where she planned to end her own life (although it seemed like a half-hearted suicide attempt). I wanted a little more info on why she was depressed. But overall a story with a lot of warmth and love. Bravo!

Overall this was a good chapter, but I found myself wishing there had been less lamenting from the main character and more information provided as to why she was depressed. I was never really convinced that she would committ suicide either. I don't know if you meant it to be that way or not, but I wasn't convinced. But still a great chapter:)

Very powerful ending. I didn't like the beginning much - due not to the writing, but because of the topic. I almost backed out of the story because I wasn't in the mood to deal with such a heavy topic, but I'm glad I didn't. Very well written.

I like the storyline. I love your writing style. But, there were some detractor's for me:
Like HG, I'd have preferred less narrative lamenting and more background. I'd also like some clue as to how the baby ended up there. Maybe she passed a car coming down the wooded road on her way in? Something. I'm off to read chapter two. Overall, the writing is very good and the story intriguing...;o)
