Chapter 26: Preparations

X: I knew you be here Comet.

Comet is a blue haired young man about 19 years old wearing a white attire.

Comet: why are you here and how did you know I would be here?

X: because before Metsu came here, you were always hoping to get the sacred sword of gravity. I am surprised that even now you don’t have a sacred sword.

Comet: I get by with my regular katana. And Metsu. I have heard of you. The man who defeated Sun right? And Arena Champion.

X: that’s him. Anyway I know you unlocked your Nova powers recently so I was wondering if you can help Metsu unlock his.

Comet: the fact that you’re asking me must mean there’s a catch.

X: we need it done in 10 days.

Comet: X that’s impossible.

X: I know it took you 5 years but maybe you can use a shortcut or something.

Comet: I could try but I doubt I’ll go far.

Comet and X met Metsu at the village where Robin used to be.

Metsu: so you’re Comet.

Comet yes I am. Metsu I heard a lot about you but let’s get to the point. You’re a Nova descendant and want me to help you unlock your powers earlier than 5 years. Correct?

Metsu: yeah. Can you do it?

Comet: Just do as I say and you’ll be fine.

Comet and Metsu then begin training while Goso and the others are still in the arena when Goso tells everyone that he is going to train also:

Goso: I will be leaving for the next 5 days to train.

Robin: What. Why not train here?

Goso: it’s something I need to do by myself.

Pinkstripe: we’re a team. Let us do it together.

Goso: sorry but I need to do it on my own.

Goso then leaves and go to a place by himself. After a couple of minutes  Goso found a place where he could train by himself. He sat down and began meditating. He then began talking to his Dragon spirit telepathically asking him how to get stronger. The Dragon spirit said:

Dragon spirit: Goso is there a problem?

Goso: yes. I need to get stronger.

Dragon spirit: to face Rain?

Goso: yeah how did you know that?

Dragon spirit: you forget that I am able to see everything through your eyes.

Goso: well do you know any way I could get stronger?

Dragon spirit: no not exactly.

Goso: oh…

Dragon spirit: cheer up we could develop a new technique or something.

Goso: I hope so.

Goso then regained consciousness and saw somebody come from afar. The person was Sky. Sky then said:

Sky: Goso? What are you doing here?

Goso: Sky? Hey how are you feeling?

Sky: ok I guess.

Goso: to answer your question I’m here to train and become stronger. So I can face Rain.

Sky: Rain? He’ll demolish you.

Goso: not if I can become stronger.

Sky: why do you want to face him?

Goso: After you left the Arena he slaughtered the entire audience in cold blood.

Sky: really? Why would he do that?

Goso: I don’t know but I got to stop him. You should join me. Together we could defeat him.

Sky: no that’s more your department. Besides though his deeds are dark I have no grudge against him.

Goso: but he killed all those people!

Sky: and I’ll just be another victim if I face him. Besides I don’t even have the Wind Sword so what help would I be?

Goso: you mean this?

Sky: You…that sword…you’re the Arena champion?

Goso: no, I just know the champion. If you want you can have the Wind sword. I’m not using it.

Sky: really? You don’t mind?

Goso: no not at all. take it.

Goso then gave the Wind Blade to Sky. Sky then said:

Sky: thank you. now my wind controlling abilities will be increased tenfold. As a gift I’ll tell you some info that might be helpful to you in your fight against Rain.

Goso: what info would that be?

Sky: I never forgot how unique your glass weapon was. So I asked around to see if I could get one. I was unsuccessful but I did get some solid info though.

Goso: well don’t hold back. Tell me.

Sky: I heard that a glass weapon wielder could achieve the second level to his or her weapon.

Goso: no way. Only a Sacred Sword allows you to do that.

Sky: that’s what I thought as well, but rumor has it that the only way to achieve this is have a double fusion done to you at some point in time.

Goso: no way. I had a double fusion performed on me.

Sky: then I suggest you train yourself so that you can achieve the second level of your sword as well.

Goso: what about you? surely you need to train yourself so you can use your new sword right?

Sky: yeah I do. So what?

Goso: train with me. We could help each other out.

Sky: why not. I’ve got nothing better to do. Might as well see who is the strongest amongst us.

Goso: let’s get to it.

Goso and Sky then began their training as Pinkstripe is getting board of waiting. She says:  

Pinkstripe: now that they are training by themselves what are we to do?

Robin: I don’t know. What if an enemy comes?

X: I’ll protect you.

Pinkstripe: but what about Goso he is by himself.

Disciple: you worry too much. Goso will be fine.
