Chapter 5: Rita’s Sacred Sword

Lisa’s speed and power were doubled. Metsu was about to use his sword to go into level 2 when Rita said:

Rita: Metsu let me handle her.

Metsu: Are you sure?

Rita: trust me. I’ll be alright.

Metsu: be careful.

Rita: ok. I will.

Rita then attacks Lisa but she proved too much for her. She tried to hit her multiple times but was unable to make contact. Lisa used her ability which allows her to use a force scream which is an attack that comes in the form of sound. Lisa screams at the top of her lungs and all who are hit with this attack will be severely damaged. The attack also causes the opponent to hear a ringing noise for a short while. When Rita was hit by the attack she heard a ringing noise and was pushed all the way to a mountain. Just then Lisa said:

Lisa: you offend me by fighting me like that with a sacred sword. You have the audacity to not use your swords ability against me.

Metsu: Rita are you ok?

Rita: yeah I am fine. Oh and in terms of my swords ability I’m already using it. My sword has the ability to greatly increase my physical durability, or in other words make my body 10 times stronger than regular humans as long as I wield it. It also greatly increases my strength and speed so much that I can match Metsu in terms of strength and Goso in speed. I just wanted to see how strong you were before I attacked you.

Metsu: really? Good thing I didn’t fight you.

Rita then attacks Lisa and greatly damages her. She then moves at a high speed attacking Lisa again hurting her even more. Lisa however was able to counter a majority of her attacks. Rita and Lisa were equal in terms of strength and speed. Blow after blow both Rita and Lisa were evenly matched. Both of them were receiving incredible damage. Lisa then said:

Lisa: enough playing around subordinates attack!!

Metsu: subordinates? So that’s why you brought us here. To ambush us.

The three swordsmen following Lisa before (Greg, Fred, and Philip) came from the bushes and ran for Rita. But before they could get to her, Metsu ran in front of them and said:

Metsu: Don’t worry Rita I got them.

Rita: thanks.

Greg: we told you to stay away from her now you die.

Philip: we will give you one more chance to leave.

Fred: No, I say we kill them now.

All three attacked Metsu. Metsu used his Gravity force push and hit all three of them far away. They then all attacked Metsu at the same time. Metsu was guarding himself as much as he could but it proved difficult. They all were powerful swordsmen and had been training for a long time. While this was going on Rita was having even more problems with Lisa. Lisa unlocked the 2nd level to her sword. She now resembles a Tiger even more. So much so that she looks more like a tiger then a human.

Rita: how did you…

Lisa: just because my sword is not an official sacred sword doesn’t mean I can’t unlock the second level. My second level unlike sacred swords is referred to as Monster form. This is because in this form we have monstrous abilities. Our power and speed are increased even more. You cannot stop me.

Rita tried to attack Lisa but in her monster form she proved too strong and too fast. Rita then stopped and said:

Rita: I guess I have to unlock my second level too.

Rita then unleashed her second form. In her second form state she resembled a Harpy slightly. Her sword slightly increased in length and the hilt has wings on the sides. Lisa then said:

Lisa: what’s going on?

Rita: My sacred beast is the Harpy of change. Regularly I only have increased strength and speed but in my second form my body undergoes special metamorphosis. Instead of evolution by birth I evolve into this form every time I unlock the second level of my sword. In this form my senses greatly increase meaning I can sense when my opponent will attack 2 times faster than I could before. I also can fly now that I have wings. My reflexes also greatly increase.  And on top of that my strength and speed increase even more than before, although not to the extent of Metsu and Goso in terms of strength and speed respectively in their second level. I still can fight them toe to toe on an equal level if I wanted to.

As Rita continued to fight Lisa, Metsu had enough with Lisa’s subordinates. He decided to go to level 2 and stop them as soon as possible. He then used a more powerful version of gravity force push. All three swordsmen were hit. He then quickly defeated them one by one. After they were defeated, Rita and Lisa began the real battle. Lisa rushed towards Rita and began attacking her left and right. However Rita dodged and attacked her first. Lisa withstood the attack and countered it by using Force scream. Rita also withstood the attack and then used shockwave.  Shockwave is similar to Lisa’s force scream. Shockwave allows Rita to cause a huge amount of sound to hurt and/or paralyze the opponent. She does so by slamming both her hands together. When Shockwave hit Lisa it tossed her far away. Along with the surging noise causing her pain, Lisa also was paralyzed and physically damaged severely. Rita wasted no time and attacked Lisa before she could get up. Lisa had no choice but to use her Nova abilities. She now has shorter hair and some tattoos have appeared on her right cheek.

Rita: so what are you able to do?

Lisa then shape shifted into Metsu and said:

Lisa (as Metsu): shape shift.

Metsu: hey why copy me?

Lisa then shocks everyone by going into level 2 with Metsu’s body.

Metsu: how?

Lisa: I can copy whoever I want and use their abilities as well.

She then rushes towards Rita and attacks her. Rita tries deflecting it but due to the fact that Metsu is stronger than her in level 2 state was pushed back. Lisa then continued with a barrage of attacks by changing into Rain and began to overwhelm Rita. Rita tried as much as she could to keep up, but was unable to. She was seriously damaged and had no chance of keeping up with Lisa. So she knew she had to unlock her nova ability.

Rita: I was hoping to defeat you before using this. But it looks like I have no choice.

But before she could do so she was hit by Lisa.

Lisa: I won’t give you the chance to use your nova ability.

Rita was unable to use her Nova ability due to the fact that Lisa keeps hitting her. Just as Rita was dying, Lisa prepared for one more attack. She rushes to Rita readying her sword, but before she could hit Rita she was blocked by Metsu. Metsu defended Rita, even though he was not in Nova form. He was receiving a lot of damage, but because he did this it gave Rita enough time to go into Nova form. Her hair turned from green to bright purple and her eyes turned silver. Her now purple hair is now in two buns, one on each side of her ear. She also grew small fangs on her upper jaw and her nails were noticeable bigger.

Rita: This battle is over.

Lisa: don’t get cocky.

Rita the floats to the air and summons a thundercloud. She then causes a large amount of lightning to strike Lisa from the sky (due to the fact that she can control weather and natural disasters) Lisa changed to Goso and dodged. Rita then caused a major earthquake to appear where Lisa was standing. Lisa then transformed into Metsu and withstood the attack. Rita the made a massive heat wave surround Lisa. Lisa was starting to get tired because of the heat wave and her reflexes were getting slower and slower. Rita Then caused a huge snow storm to appear and used the weather to create a huge tundra in the sky and crushed Lisa’s lower body.

Greg: why….

Philip: master!!!!

Fred: you monster.

Lisa: I guess I’m done for. Might as well tell you guys the truth then.

Philip, Fred and Greg: …?

Lisa: I…destroyed your villages and …only rescued you to try and sell you guys. But no one wanted you, so I kept you. And by the way I was never poor. I always had money I just told you that I was poor so you would not suspect what happened.

Philip: we don’t care! You’re our master and we should’ve protected you.

 Lisa: give it a rest. You guys are more trouble than your worth.

Metsu: you dare call yourself a swordsman. You fool. Just die and leave these three alone. They deserve better than you.

Lisa: …

Rita then created a second tundra and crushed the rest of Lisa.

Fred: she was just using us.

Metsu: go on. Leave this place and live your lives.

Greg: but you killed our master so you’re our master now.

Metsu: no…I ‘m not. You are your own masters. Just live your lives like you were supposed to do from the start and forget about Lisa.

Fred: I understand. No one’s has ever given us that choice so it’s going to take some getting used to.

Rita: don’t worry you’ll be fine.

The three subordinates left back to town. After the battle concluded Metsu and Rita didn’t even noticed that they were fighting the whole night. Rita went back to normal and said:

Rita: man it’s morning already?

Metsu: yeah that was quick.

Rita: ……Metsu.

Metsu: yeah.

Rita: I…just wanted to say…thanks for having my back back there. I owe you.

Metsu: Don’t worry about it. It’s cool I mean I couldn’t just stand there. I had to help. But just so you know …I admire the courage you have. You remind me a lot of Lars.

Rita: I’m so glad that I got to meet you…I really mean that.

Metsu: thank you. I’m glad I got to meet you too.

Metsu and Rita gazed at each other’s eyes both thinking the same thing. They both held hands and watched the sunrise.

Rita: isn’t it beautiful.

Metsu: it truly is, kind of like you.

Rita: (blushing) really?

Metsu: really.

Both of them then begin to walk back to town. But on the way there the find Pinkstripe and she said.

Pinkstripe: where have you been? We were getting worried. Or at least I was. What do we do about Lisa?

Metsu: she’s taken care of.

Pinkstripe: when did this happen?

Rita: last night.

Metsu: look it’s been a long night all I want to do now is sleep.

Rita: I know what you mean.

Pinkstripe: what’s up with you two?

Metsu: nothing. Let’s go back.

All three of them returned to town and prepare to go after the next Dark Nova. When they finally made it back to the village they saw X at the gate who said:

X: Metsu and Rita your back. I see Lisa was no match for you after all.

Rita: Wait a minute. How did you know about that?

X: I have connections. But how strong was she?

Metsu: pretty powerful. But nothing we can’t handle.

Just then Comet came out of the inn and said:

Comet: Rita…Metsu where did you go?

Metsu: we fought Lisa and defeated her.

Comet: you can’t just go and fight the Dark Novas by yourself. We’re a team and we need to fight them together.

 Metsu: sorry. It was an unexpected encounter and we we’re confident in our abilities so we decided to face her ourselves.

X: well get some rest we’ll leave first thing in the morning.

Metsu: it’s already morning.

X: well in the afternoon then. The point is that you were up all night and you need to rest so that your able to fight at full strength when we fight the next Dark Nova.

Metsu: ok.

Metsu and Rita then decided to take a rest in the inn. Goso on the other hand has just arrived at a town near the Bahamut village where the first suspect lives.
