My hands look clean today.  There isn't unidentified dirt and gunk under their nails, and even the hangnails look trimmed and neat.  If I hold them just so in the light, I can see the white-blond hairs on my knuckles.  Not a lot--just three or four strands.  But they still remind me that we descend from apes.
