Polish  by Katrina
When I was in Junior High, I loved painting my fingernails different colors.  I had an entire container filled with nail polish in browns, reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, purples, blacks...any color to fit my mood.  I would paint my nails carefully, using a Q-tip dipped in fingernail polish remover to swipe up any mistakes.  The finished product always made me smile and splay my hands out to show my parents--"Look what I did!  Aren't I great?"  Within two or three days, the polish was chipped.  Not because it was crappy polish, but because I would obsessively pick at it, chipping away at the colors covering up my short, ugly nails.
