“Have I found you, flightless bird,” the song replayed in her head as she remembered her most tragic moment. It was 11:00 pm and she was in the passenger’s seat. He was singing to her favourite song from the movie Twilight. They had just left an elegant restaurant five minutes later than planned. He halted at the intersection when the stoplight showed amber and leaned in to kiss her. At that moment, everything went blank for her. She woke up in a room, her room she guessed. It was bright and all she could make out were blurry clouds moving around in sorrow. “She’s up,” she heard someone say. It sounded like her mother and her sister was there too. Her vision cleared and she could now make out all the bodies in her room. Her mom, sister and friends were there accompanied by other family members. Then she remembered what had happened. Jordan, her boyfriend, he was gone. She had suddenly felt her heart sink and her whole body vanish and she knew everything else would go wrong from that point.
