The Mongerers may have left Earth to its fate, but they still had plans for humanity. Speeding in the wakes of the Arks, they pursued their unsuspecting prey with a vengeance.
And then they spotted the returning transports.
One Mongerer ship, one quarter the size of Earth’s moon, turned around.
Two Harbinger transports, easy pickings, headed back to Earth. One Mongerer ship followed them. The true race for humanity had begun.
