Discussion of "Summoned - One (Past)" by JD_Renaissance

I dare say you have the male/female relationship thing down pat...lol.

I could recall my wife and I having a discussion just like this except that the roles would be reversed, more often than not...well, fifty/fifty...;o)

I'm telling you, the dialogue and the visuals you gave me were perfect - true to life - real; and, that's just the descriptive narrative and dialogue about the dog. The last sentence was off the map - a cliffhanger extraordinaire!

Thanks, WWB! I'm glad the argument came across as realistic and that the ending worked so well. I hope the rest of the story comes out this well.

Thanks again!

Different worlds. After one of our many 'discussions' my spouse went to the Pound and returned with a pregnant cat. I'm extremely allergic to cats. If only I had gone for that long walk....

Wow hard hitting ending, unexpected but sweet. Very relate-able material, I enjoyed this with my morning coffee. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the ending and that the story went well with morning coffee. (I wonder if that has anything to do with me drinking my morning coffee while writing it?) :D

This was great, JD. My favorite line was, "He pulled away, taking her smile with him."

It's all been said above, but I'll repeat. The language and tone were so real. I felt almost as though I were watching this scene.

Thanks, DJ! One of my favorite lines too, one I had to rewrite several times to get right.

I'm very glad that the scene came across as realistic. I really wanted to ground the beginning in order to lead into and to contrast with further chapters.

Thanks again!
