A Philosopher's Philosophy
by Desian
Whats to become of any of us? Does destiny choose us? or do we choose destiny? One might say we choose because of the fact we make ourselves who we are. The hardworkers supposedly make it to the big money, nice jobs, and loving wife and kids. While others beg to differ, some people are born with natural talents and dont really have to be the hardworker rather, just put talent to good use. He did not choose that ability rather it was given to him/her, destiny chose them. Does a person choose to get robbed?stabbed?or hit by a car? Or did it happen to just be his day? or could it be that both of those opinions coincide with each other? Do we make our own path and every now and then the powers that be(God, or whatever you believe in.)make you turn left rather than right? Maybe just for kicks we are all pawns in a classic game of chess. Those who need to be killed will be killed. those who need to be sacrificed will be sacrificed. All in all, in the end there is only person standing in the end and that being the king. So whos the king?? There is many different answers for that one, but one broad answer would sum it up. I know who the king is and so do you whether you realize it or not. that king is what you hold on high in life. God, family, friends, or whatever rules your life. That my friend is your king! In some cases that king is no one other than yourself but that case is rare itself because, everyone sacrifices for someone or something and that is truth. So, as my mind tends to jump from different cases on whats supposed to be a two way subject I ask myself "What is a philosopher's philosophy?" I tend to jump around alot forgive me. Iwas dropped on my head as a kid and was beat up by a fat girl in the 4th grade. Life always gets better before it gets worse, and then better again. the point? we always enjoy riding rollercoasters, waves of the ocean, or ride of some sort. So, why not enjoy the most hilarious, scary, blinded, and annoying ride we call life? No matter how many times we ask that question there never really is a straight answer. Life is too full of twist and turns that when you come up with that answer, life turns it into another question. When reading this you will come to a crossroads. Some of you will say " what kind of preposterous Hypothesis is this?" While others will simply say "the man has simply gone mad?" Either way, my pessimistic view on the outcome will not go unwarranted. So, ladies and Gentlemen, Do not tuck your runts into bed just yet, for there is more to come from this ol' philosopher and his short stories.
