I caught up with a blond kid that reminded me of Embry, but that lost his head later in hands of my knife. The other one I encountered was pretty hot, literally. He kept throwing fire balls at me. Till I managed to hide and when he threw me a fire ball I sent it back to him. He started freaking out when his clothes got on fire and when he ran off Joseph put his arm out from behind the wall he was hiding in and the guuy ran right into the blade of his knife. In the same movement Joseph decapitated another guy. When we got inside of the building after fighting another few vampires we ran straight to the director’s office. “Here we go.” Joseph said and then kicked the door down. “Ah, Joseph, my old pupil.” Drake said turning his big office chair around to take a look at us. “Give up and we won’t hurt you.” Rosemary said bravely. I shook my head at her. She shrugged. “Come here pretty.” Drake said to me and instead of trying to kill him I found myself walking to him. “Joseph! I can’t control my body.” I yelled as I got closer to him. “Maybe your friends won’t mind a little of porn right now won’t they? I’ve been waiting for this a long time.” “It’s him. His gift works in the gifts of others so he can control the body. Remember the gift runs in your blood.” That’s when I saw other vampires were holding my friends as they tried to fight them off. Drake tried to kiss me and I managed to dodge his kiss. “Maybe your boyfriend would enjoy this. Why don’t you hold her for me?” The guard who was holding Joseph brought him closer and Drake made him put his knife around my neck so I couldn’t move. This time Drake did kiss me and he started taking my shirt off till I was in bra only. I felt my face reddened. Joseph had tears in his cheeks. Drake was biting his lower lip and then grabbed one of my breasts. I began sobbing and begging him not to but as much as I tried I didn’t had control over my body.

That’s when he started opening my jeans’ button and unzipped it. “No! Stop!” I yelled with a crack voice. Just when he was about to put his hand into my panty a long cut slashed across his neck and his head fell off. We stood there like we weren’t sure of what to do. The guards let go of the others and stepped back. But we couldn’t move. “What the **** just happened here?” Erin made us all jump. “Myah, you got over his blocking gift.” Joseph said putting my shirt back on. “I’m pretty sure I didn’t do that.” I said shocked. “No, I did, silly.” That’s when she came into view from a dark corner of the office. “GALIA! Oh, we’re so glad to see you’re ok.” Embry said hugging her with all of us following his steps. Except Joseph and Erin. Erin wasn’t much of hugger and Joseph wanted to keep on the mission of killing the bad guys. “I’m glad to see you too guys.” She said when we all pulled away from her. “How did you do that?” Joseph asked and we all stepped aside so she could see him. He was burning Drake’s head. “Easy, I gave him a little of his own medicine.” She said with a giggle, then turned serious and I saw her eyes sparkle with tears. “You have the same gift he has?” I said. She went toward Drake and touched his cold headless body. “I’m sorry, daddy.” “That’s why.” Desireé said. “Drake was your father.” It wasn’t a question. She looked at me and nodded. I couldn’t find anymore words to say. “Myah, I don’t know where your mom is. I looked everywhere, but…” “I know. We’ll find her and we’ll go home.” I cut her off. “I got some good guys, they found their reasons to be good. Some of them are here.” She looked at the guards and they waved awkwardly at us. “Then let’s go. Galia I’m sorry, but we’ll have to mourn later.” Joseph said hugging her, which surprised me. “I understand.” She asserted.

“I’ll get the others and meet you at the lobby, be careful they’re waiting for you there.” Galia said in the hallway. Joseph nodded and she ran into another direction. Mid-hallway a vampire caught me from behind and cut my neck but I took hold of his arm and pulled him over my shoulder slamming him to the floor and making blood splutter on my face like at the garage. And then…I couldn’t control my body. Again. Something made me turn around and look at a cute boy with black hair finely arranged into spikes. He smiled evilly at me. “Looks like I’ll have my time with you now, clearly I’ll do much more than Drake.” He made me come closer and I couldn’t stop staring at those purple eyes. “Myah! He controls the blood.” Desireé yelled at me from the end of the hallway busy with two more vampires. Then I was finally able to move and I didn’t waste time on **** his head off. “Thanks.” I mouthed to Galia. She winked at me and went to help Desireé. Right there and then a vision caught my attention: Mom was screaming and somebody was whipping her then it all went black and a gasp brought me back to the fight. “Joseph! I have to find mom.” I yelled at him running toward the stairs. The third floor was silent there weren’t any vampires here. “Mom?” I yelled. I opened door after door but found nothing. When I was about to give up I saw a weird door with a faded version of orange. When I opened it a body fell on me and I screamed while I got from under it, then noticed that it was a dead body. I shuddered and peeked inside the door and there were five dead bodies, one alive. “Mom!” I ran to her and knelt at her side. She was all bloody and dirty. “God, mom we have to get you out of here, I’ll call Joseph…” I said starting for the door. “Honey, no stay.” She said breathless holding my arm. “Everything will be alright.” I assured her, she nodded. “Mom, I can’t lose you, I need you.” I said with a cracked voice. Tears already flooding my eyes. “Sweetie, you’re a smart girl, and you have very good friends.” She gave me a smile full of pain. I started shaking my head and to cry. “Myah…I. Love. You.” Right then her eyes looked into space and her hand dropped from mine. “Mom, no, no, come back. Please I need you.” I said crying. Then anger flooded me and I dug my nails into the floor. I wanted all the bad vampires to die. So much that I was seeing it then I saw blackness…….

My eyes open to a white room. A hospital room I now realized. And by my side was Joseph, he smiled at me. “Hey.” “Hey.” I answered. “What are you doing here? We’re suppose to be killing vampires.” I blurted out. He shook his head. “You killed them all.” “What?” I said confused. “You got mad when you saw your mom…dead.” He struggled for the words. My eyes burned with tears again. Then I remembered the vision. “Where’s the baby?” He put his head down. “You used up all the energy in your body and the baby was killed. They got it out.” I burst into tears. “That was our baby, Joseph.” He hugged me and once again there was the soothing scent and his strokes on my hair, but he didn’t do any attempt on using his gift. Then all my friends completed the hug.

ONE YEAR LATER

My aunt helped Joseph and I buy our little apartment. With the other good vampires and Harriet’s help we found more and they helped us clean up the place of any dead body. After that and with all the permissions the school from our story became true: Rock Angel High School. We figured that’s what the initials meant. All the students were glad to move out from schools that they did not belonged to.

“Hey! There you are. I’ve been looking all over for you.” Joseph said coming out of his classroom. “I was hunting.” His eyebrows pulled together. “I thought you hunted this morning.” “I did.” “But it’s only been three hours. How can you be thirsty again?” I just smiled. Then he noticed and smiled back. “Are you sure?” “Yep.” “I love you. So now that we have good news I should give you mine.” He got down in one knee and pulled out a small black box. Inside was a gold ring with diamond skull. “Will you marry me?” I smiled full of tears. I nodded. “Yes.” I said almost inaudible. He stood up put the ring on my left hand and hugged me. Four months later we got married. And five months later our daughter was born: Daphne Lioth. A few days after Daphne was born and we got home we were watching T.V and there was a man on the news saying that there was a gang looking for a girl named Myah Phaillen. My eyes widened. “Joseph?” I looked at him. “I don’t think we killed Drake.” He said. “But we saw his head burn, you burned it!” I said panicked. In that instant his eyes turned purple and I was able to calm down. “We have to go home and warn the others, now.” We got to my aunt’s house in a flash. Aunt Lourdes moved to my mom’s house when she took custody of me. When all the guys arrived and they all held the baby for a few minutes we told them the bad news and asked Galia if she knew anything. “I don’t know. I didn’t used to talk much to my dad.” Galia swore. “Are you sure it was him on that picture?” Harriet asked. Joseph was shaking his head frustrated. “Yes it was him. Somehow it was him.” Suddenly Galia gasped and went to seat by the computer. “I got it!” She yelled typing quickly on the keyboard. “Dad was the first vampire in the world to be born from two vampires. Usually there’s a vampire involved in the family so if the next person born is turned they get the vampire member’s gift; that’s us. If they are born from two vampires, which is extremely rare they are born vampires and they get both of the parents’ gifts; that’s dad and Daphne.” She said turning the computer screen so we could all look. There was tension in the family room when we saw the picture. “And his gifts are?” Embry asked. “Well, there’s the blocking, but I’m not sure about the other.” Galia said thoughtfully. There was a long dark silence. “Duplication.” Joseph broke that silence. “What?” I said confused. “He duplicates. That wasn’t the real Drake.” “****! Then what?” I said angrily. He looked at me with a serious gaze. “We look for, find and kill the real Drake."?
