It was Sunday. Jess didn’t have to go to work but she always woke up at 7 o’clock. She got up and decided to take a shower. She entered the bathroom and suddenly began to scream. Dan heard her screaming and ran to the bathroom. The mirror in the bathroom was broken and there was blood all over the bathroom. Dan looked at the mirror. There was written “sOOn” on it.

   Dan: “Jesus Christ. What is this?” 

   Jess: “Now I understand”.

   Dan: “Jess wait. Where are you going?”

Jess ran to Tina’s house.

   Tina: “Jess?”

   Jess: “You did it. Your name starts with “T”. How could you?”

   Tina: “What’s going on? I don’t understand”.

   Jess: “Don’t lie to me. You love Dan. You killed that poor guy because he had guessed that you love Dan”.

   Tina: “What are you talking about? I don’t love Dan. I love Oscar. I didn’t kill anyone”.

   Jess: “Oh yeah? Are going to tell me that you haven’t written “soon” on my mirror? You have the key from my house”.

   Tina: “What mirror?”

Suddenly the police came. They arrested Tina.

  Jess: “How could you do that? I thought you were my closest friend”.

Jess couldn’t believe that it was Tina. She came home.

  Dan: “Jess. Where did you go?”

  Jess: “Now we can live quietly.”      

  Dan: “What do you mean?”

  Jess: “It was Tina. The police arrested her. Thanks God you called the police”.

  Dan: “But Jessy. I haven’t called the police”.

  Jess: “That’s not funny”.

  Dan: “I am not kidding Jess. I haven’t called the police”.

  Jess: “But if you haven’t called the police, who did it?”

  Dan: “How could you let them arrest Tina?”

  Jess: “She has done it Dan, she killed that guy”.

  Dan: “But how do you know that?”

  Jess: “That’s her. Her name starts with “T” ”.

  Dan: “Jess that’s not a proof”.

Jess didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t understand what she had done. What if Tina wasn’t guilty? She had blamed her closest friend. But who had called the police?

Suddenly someone knocked on the door. It was a policeman. He said he had to look at the mirror.

 Dan: “Yes, of course. Come here”.

Dan showed the bathroom and came back to the dining room.

 Jess: “Did you ask him?”

 Dan: “Yes. He said he doesn’t know who has called. I will go to the police station and will find it out. You are safe while the policeman is here. Don’t go anywhere”.

 Jess stayed at home. She called Dan an hour later but he didn’t answer. The policeman said that he had already finished and left. Jess called Dan once more. At last he answered.   

  Jess: “Do you have any news?”

  Dan: “Yes. Tina’s finger-prints were found on the mirror. Now they are asking her questions.”

Jess: “And didn’t they say who has called them?”

  Dan: “They said that a girl has called them saying that she has found a bloody mirror in her house. The police think it was you. I don’t understand. I am coming”.

  Jess: “Ok”.

Jess was confused. Suddenly her cell phone rang. It was Predy. 

  Jess: “Predy I don’t know what to do. Do you have any news?”

  Predy: “Jessica I know who it is. It is…………….

  Jess: “Hallo?..... Hallo? Predy?”    

Jess ran out of her house. She got into the car and drove to Predy’s house. She saw Dan’s car on her way. Dan saw Jess too. He stopped the car. 

  Dan: “Jess. Where are you going?”

  Jess: “We should hurry. Something happened to Predy when I was speaking with her”. 

They ran to Predy’s house. Everything was quiet. They entered the dining-room. Predy was sitting in the armchair with the phone in her hands. She was dead.

  Jess: “Oh my God. Who did it?”  

  Dan: “Hurry up. We will go to the police station”.

Dan and Jess told the police Predy’s address.

  Jess: “Excuse me; I would like to say that Tina Brown is not guilty. You should let her go”.

  Policeman: “We know Miss Smith. She is already free. She had an alibi. She was with Oscar Jefferson when it happened. And we have to ask you a question. Miss Brown said that she had the key from your house because you and Mr. Jackson work the whole day and she helps you to clean the house. Is it true?”  

  Jess: “Yes. It is true”.

  Policeman: “That’s why her finger-prints were found on your mirror”.

Jess didn’t know what she was going to tell Tina. She would not be able even to look into her eyes.

When Jess and Dan came home they saw Tina.

  Jess: “Tina. I am so sorry. I made a very big mistake. How could I think about that? Please forgive me. I’m just…I…”

  Tina: “It’s Ok. I understand. It was very hard for you. But Jess, please trust me.Everything's gonna be okay”.

  Jess: “I hope so”.

Jess felt relieved. Tina was a real friend.                                                                                            

Dan and Jess went home.

  Jess: “Dan. When are you going to bed? It’s too late”.

  Dan: “Go and sleep honey. I will be awake. I am going to sit here the whole night. I want my princess to be safe”.

  Jess: “I am so scared”.

  Dan: “Don’t be scared. I will always protect you. You are safe when I am beside you. Good night!”

 Jess fell asleep as she was very tired.
