Jess: “Did you sleep well?”

  Dan: “I couldn’t sleep for a long time. It was already morning when I was able to fall asleep. I heard you talking in your dream. When will you be at home?”

  Jess: “I’ll be at home by......7”.

  Dan: “Ok. I’ll go to the police station today to find out whether they have found anything”.

They were about to leave the house when the phone rang. Jess answered. It was Ted. He told Jess that Sue’s house had been burnt. Jess hurried to the company.

  Jess: “How are you? How did it happen?”

  Sue: “I don’t know. I was sleeping. I could have died if Ted hadn’t saved me”.

  Jess: “Save you?”

  Ted: “Yeah. I saw the fire and ran to her house”.

  Jess: “And what were you doing near her house?”

  Ted: “I was just walking. Thanks God I decided to go for a walk. Sue will stay at my house until she finds a new flat”.

  Jess: “No no. She will stay with us”.

  Sue: “It’s Ok, Jess. You live with Dan and I don’t want to cause you any problems. Ted lives alone. I’ll be fine”.

Jess couldn’t do anything. She didn’t trust Ted any more.    

 It was nearly 7 in the evening when Jess came home. Soon Dan came too. He didn’t have any news. Jess told him about her suspects. Dan said that she was exaggerating. Ted couldn’t have done that.Dan was so kind.Definitely it was one of the reasons why she loved him so much.
