Now I Die  by CeeCee

Aneesa's eyes quickly opened hearing footsteps near the house. She jumped up from the comfortable position she had been laying on the couch in, startling Gizelle who had been sleeping next to her.

"What are you doing?" Gizelle mumbled while rubbing her eyes.

"I think I heard something." Aneesa said peering out the window.

She focused her eyes on the two images that were approaching the house, and screamed when she realized it was her sister.

She unlocked the front door, and tried to pull it open, but the door wouldn't budge.

"Help me with this door." She instructed Gizelle.

After a few pulls the door finally swung open, and Aneesa ran to her sister and hugged her.

"I've been looking for you!" Aneesa said pulling her sister by the hand and into the house.

"I've been staying at a hotel right up the road." Asiya explained. "I meant to call you sooner."

Asiya looked around the house as if she had never been there before.

"Who's that?" Aneesa asked looking at the man who was standing behind Asiya.

"His names Dorian...he told me you was here." Asiya explained.

Something about Asiya was different, her voice even sounded different. It was more soft, and had an almost raspy tone.

"How'd he know?" Aneesa asked.

"He see's things...it's hard to explain." She answered.

Aneesa looked the man over carefully wondering what type of things he see's.

"What you see?" Aneesa asked him.

"That you were in danger." He answered while looking around the living room.

"What kind of danger?" She asked.

"I don't know." He responded. "Couldn't see much. Where's your mother's room?"

"Down that hall on the left hand side." Asiya said pointing out the way.

They watched Dorian walk back towards the room, and dissappear inside. Neither of them dared to follow him. Aneesa didn't know what he was up to, but she didn't want to be involved.

"Well I'm glad your here." Aneesa said breaking the silence. "I need you to write something for me."

"I'm Gizelle." Gizelle interuppted extending her hand.

Aneesa watched Aisya shake Gizelle's hand, and look her over suspiciously. Asiya didn't trust people, something she inherited from their mother.

"She's my roomate from college." Aneesa explained.

Asiya didn't say anything, she just looked at Gizelle. Aneesa wondered if  her sister could tell that Gizelle was more than a roomate.

Asiya looked from Gizelle to Aneesa, and frowned her face up a little.

"What do you want me to write about?" Asiya asked.

"I want you to write everything over." Aneesa said. "Maybe what you write can cancel out what mamma wrote."

"Okay." Asiya answered.

Aneesa was suprised her sister didn't put up a fight about it.

Aneesa watched her sister pull out a small notebook, and a pen out of her purse. She sat on the floor infront of Aneesa and stared at her.

"What do you want me to write?" She asked.

Aneesa looked at Gizelle for a moment, thinking of how she would want to spend her life with her, but she wondered would Gizelle want the same thing.

"Gizelle she can write anything I want her to and it will come true...what do you think should be written about us?" Aneesa asked her.

"Write what you feel." Gizelle said.

"I want you to write that I will finish school, and end up with Gizelle, and I will be able to make choices for myself forever." Aneesa said.

Asiya glared at Aneesa, as Aneesa looked at her with pleading eyes. Aneesa smiled as she watched her sister began to write her future on paper.

Gizelle squeezed Aneesa's hand a little tighter, and Aneesa offered her a smile. She silently prayed that this would work, but couldn't help to think about what would happen if it didn't. She would rather be dead, than miserable though.

Asiya handed Aneesa the paper, and put the cap on her pen.

"Now all you have to do is read it." Asiya said standing up from the floor.

Dorian entered the living room, and looked at Asiya.

"We need to leave." He said heading for the front door. "This house is evil."

"First just let me read this." Aneesa said looking at the paper.

"Yeah let her read it." Asiya said before walking down the hallway towards their mother's room.

Aneesa began reading the paper with a smile plastered to her face. Her smile quickly faded into a frown as she read the last paragraph.

"Asiya!" Aneesa screamed marching towards her mother's room.

She pushed the door open, and looked at Asiya who was sitting in her mother's chair rocking back and forth slowly facing the window.

"How could you do this to me!" Aneesa yelled holding up the paper.

Asiya didn't answer Aneesa she just sat in the rocking chair, and continued to rock slowly.

"Asiya answer me!" Aneesa demanded walking over to her sister.

Gizelle and Dorian entered the room wondering what all the yelling was about.

"What's wrong?" Gizelle asked.

Aneesa cried as she handed Gizelle the paper.Gizelle began reading the paper, and tears began to drip down her cheeks as well.

"I don't understand." Gizelle mumbled.

"How could you do this to me!?!" Aneesa yelled nearing her sister.

Asiya's eyes were glazed over, and she was humming softly.

"I am my mother's child." Asiya said still looking out the window.

"Asiya what's wrong with you?" Aneesa asked.

Aneeesa sensed there was something wrong with Asiya, she suddenly wasn't acting like her normal self.

"It's this house!" Dorian said trying to pick Asiya up out  of the chair.

Asiya began to laugh hysterically as Dorian carried her out of the room. Aneesa looked into her sister's eyes realizing she wasn't there. The person who wrote her future wasn't her sister.

"Now what?" Gizelle asked still holding the paper.

Aneesa took the paper from Gizelle, and read the last paragraph aloud. "Aneesa will die an easy death. In her sleep she will take her last breath."

"Now I die." Aneesa said before walking out of the room.
