Seeing Things  by CeeCee

Asiya opened her eyes while cursing herself for not closing the curtains lastnight before she went to bed. Sunlight poured into the room forcing her to wake up earlier than she intended.

She sat up in her bed, yawning and stretching her arms. Suddenly it dawned on her that there was a man in her room. She looked on the floor to see a pile of covers where Dorian had been laying, but he wasn't there.

"Dorian?" She called out while getting out of bed, and letting out another yawn.

After a few moments passed, and she didn't get a response she just assumed he left. She fell back into her bed, and closed her eyes.

"Your sister's in danger." She heard a male voice say.

She quickly opened her eyes to see Dorian standing in the bathroom doorway.

"What are you talking about?" She asked covering herself up with her cover.

"She's in the house." He said. "She went there looking for you."

Asiya looked at him in disbelief, wondering if he were trying to play a mind game with her.

"My sister is in Newyork." She said. "What kinda game you playing here Dorian?"

He shook his head from side to side, and went back into the bathroom. Although she didn't believe anything Dorian was saying she wanted to call her sister just to make sure she was okay.

She listened to the phone ring over and over in her ear, and began to panic when there was no answer. She hopped out of bed, and pushed the bathroom door open.

Dorian was in the mirror shaving his face, and didn't turn to face her.

"How you know my sister's at the house?" She asked.

She watched him rinse his face off with water, and then rinse the razor off.

"I see things." He said.

"What you mean you see things?" She asked.

"You know how you write things and it comes true?" He asked.

She nodded her head up and down.

"Well I see things that come true." He said.

Asiya looked him over carefully, skeptical on whether or not she believed him.

"This morning while you were sleep I went and got my car, we need to get to your house right now." He said walking out of the bathroom.

Asiya stood in the bathroom doorway staring at him, not sure if she wanted to trust him. He could be making this all up, and playing some sort of game with her. What if he was just taunting her because she revealed her secret to him?

"Look you can not believe me...but if we don't get to that house your sister will die." He said calmly.

Asiya quickly closed the bathroom door, washed her face, brushed her teeth, asnd threw on some clothes.

When she got out of the bathroom Dorian was standing near the room door tapping his foot.

"Let's go!" Asiya said opening the door and leaving the room.

They both headed to the car, neither of them exchanging words. Asiya badly wanted to know how he could see things as he put it.

"Why didn't you tell me yesterday that you could see things?" She asked once they were both in the car.

"It's not something I go around telling people." He said while backing out of the parking space. "The only reason I told you was cause your sister is in danger."

"What else do you see?" She asked curiously.

He cracked his window, and turned the radio on. She turned the radio off, and stared at him waiting for his answer.

"I don't get to choose what I see or when I see it...it just comes outta nowhere I guess." He said.

Asiya sat back in her seat, and pondered over what he said. She wondered had he seen anything else but he wasn't telling her.

Her heart began to race as they got closer to her house. She didn't know what was going to happen when she entered that house, but she prayed her sister was okay.

"You ready?" He asked after turning off the car.

Asiya stared up at the big white house that had a scary look about it. Suddenly the house she grew up in didn't look the same anymore, something about it was different.

"As ready as I will be." She responded after taking a deep breath.
