The story so far:

"Julia" -> "Angela"

Julia  by CeeCee

Julia smiled when she heard the front door of her home open. She opened her sheer black robe just enough so that the red lace lingere she was wearing peeked out. Julia glanced around the room impressed with how well she set it up. She leaned her head back against one of her soft pillows, and listened to her husbands footsteps get closer to their bedroom.

"What's all this?" He asked upon entering the dimly lit room.

Julia watched him scrunch his face up as if he smelled something foul.

"I thought you and I could spend a little quiet time together." She said in her sexiest tone.

"Julia I've had a long day at work and I'm tired." He said while losening his tie.

She sat there and stared at her husband astonished at his response. She hadn't been intimate with him in months, and she couldn't understand why he would deny her.

Julia closed her robe now feeling embarrassed in what she once considered sexy.

She watched him blow out the scented candles she had lit, and wipe the rose pedals off his side of the bed. Julia felt like a fool for going out of her way for her husband.

She went downstairs to call Veronica, and tell her what happened.

"Hello?" Veronica chimed into the phone.

"Vee your plan failed." Julia sighed.

"What do you mean it failed? What happened?" Veronica asked.

"I had rose pedals layed out, candle's lit, and the sexiest lingere I could find...and he said he had a long day and was tired." Julia said on the verge of tears. "I feel like a fool Veronica. I don't understand what I've done to make him act like this."

"He's cheating." Veronica said in a bland tone.

"What!?! Veronica that's ridiculous!" Julia laughed.

"The only time a man passes up sex is when he's getting it from somewhere else Julia!" Veronica insisted.

Julia sat there quietly on the phone thinking about what her bestfriend just told her. In Julia's heart she knew it was true, but she just didn't want to believe it. The thought of her husband sleeping with another woman sickened her.

"You need to wake up and smell the coffee hunni." Veronica said.

"Well what am I suppose to do?" Julia asked feeling baffled.

"Leave him...you can stay here for as long as you need." Veronica suggested.

"I can't just leave my husband!" Julia said raising her voice and shaking her head from side to side.

"Fine...then stay. But don't complain to me about how horrible he treats you if your not going to do anything about it." Veronica said before hanging up.

Julia put her phone back in it's reciever, and clutched at her stomach. She felt light headed, and sat down on the leather couch in order to regain her compusure. The thought of Martin being with another woman just about killed her.

'What am I suppose to do?' She thought. 'Should I leave? Who is he cheating with? Is he really even cheating? Maybe I should just play it cool, and things may get better in time.'

She returned to her bedroom to find her husband sitting on the edge of the bed talking on his cellphone. When she entered the room he left out, and carried his conversation downstairs in the living room.

'I wonder is that her?' Julia thought as she tip toed down the hallway to get a better listen to his conversation. She leaned over the banister and strained her ear attempting to hear him.

"I know everythings going to be fine. You just need to relax and get some rest. Tomorrow I will go with you to your appointment." She heard him say.

'What appointment?' She wondered. 'And who is he talking to? Maybe I should ask him.'

Julia walked down the stairs just as he was ending his phone call.

"Who was that?" She asked feeling bold.

"Business." He responded stepping pass her to get up the stairs.

She put her arm out blocking him from getting past her.

"What are you doing!?!" He yelled trying to push her arm out of the way.

"What kind of business call was that?" She asked.

Instead of responding he simply sucked his teeth and pushed pass her.

'Veronica was right.' She thought watching her husband walk away from her.
