They drove up a hill which seemed to be in the middle of no where. It was grassy, had a few trees here and there, and some flowers, but there were no houses in either direction. “The party is out here?” Katie was looking at the landscape through her window. Micheal didn’t respond so she turned towards him. “Micheal?” He was looking at her with lust filled eyes.
He placed his hand on her leg near her crotch area. “You know, you’re so beautiful, even though you’re pregnant and all,” he leaned in “You promised me your virginity you know.”
“I was like eight. We were just children.” She moved his hand.
“A promise is a promise.” He grabbed a piece of hair that laid upon her lightly tanned skin and placed it behind her ear.
“FYI, pregnant here. No longer a virgin.”
“Yeah, but it really didn’t count. I mean you were wasted and don’t remember what even happened or what it felt like.” He continued. “Besides, its not like it meant anything to you. You think the guy is scum.”
“You know Micheal, you’re scum. Andrew is the nicest, most sweetest, caring guy I have ever met.” She looked out the window. “Unlike you.” She paused. “I cant believe you were my first kiss, and love.”
“What? So you love him or something now ‘cause he’s so sweet and caring?” He leaned back. “He’s gunna leave your dumb **** as soon as he gets the chance. And you’re not even gunna see it coming.”
She laughed. “No, I think you already did that.”
There was a long silence. He sighed. “I’m…I’m sorry.” She looked at him, his head hung low like a dogs after it had just been scolded. “Its just, seeing you caring his baby and you having feelings for him…” he paused. “it just hurts. I have loved you ever since we were kids. When my family moved to Europe, you were always on my mind. I was so in love with you that I never dated, I hardly ate, and had major lack of sleep.” he looked at her. “I thought we would never be together again.”
A small smile grew on her face. She leaned in to kiss him, he backed away. Her face was filled with confusion.
“I-are you sure?”
She nodded. They both leaned in towards one another and their lips met. He placed his hand on her leg again and deepened the kiss. Both of their eyes were closed, but Katie’s opened as she felt his hand creeping up her shirt. “Micheal.” She said into the kiss, not in pleasure, but to get his attention.
He moved it back to her leg, then slowly moved it underneath her skirt. He was now touching her feminine area, she did not like it one bit, so she pushed him and his slime of a hand away. “What?”
“What are you doing?” She wiped her lips and straightened out her skirt.
“Just having a bit of fun with you toots.” He moved towards her.
“No.” She stopped him. He tried again. “Micheal, I said no!” She had her hand placed on his chest, arm extended so he couldn’t come closer.
He pushed himself at her hard and with a lot of force so that he was now half ways on top of her. He was struggling to unfasten his belt do he could get his pants off and restrain her when she slapped him, hard. “B*tch.” She kicked him in the gut with her heel.
He hit the drivers door as she opened the passenger door and nearly leaped out. She, hurriedly, went down the hill. Once down the hill, she heard the door slam and the car start up. He drove off, leaving her in an unfamiliar place, in the dark, cold night.
She leaned her body against a tree and looked around. “Oh god.” She put her hands over her face then swept them away. “How could I be so stupid? What was that?” She heard a twig break, looked around, then ran.
She tripped and rolled down a small hill. She lay on her stomach and lifted her face out of the grass. “Ow.” She sat up and saw that she had cut her knee. “Damn.” She looked in the directions on both her left and her right, then behind not seeing any light. She was stranded in a place where nobody lived. Great.
Just remembering that she had brought her cell phone with her, she pulled open her shirt and reached inside her bra. “Oh my gosh. Where is it?” It wasn’t where she had placed it so she felt for it on the ground.
She crawled on her hands and knees until she found it nearly two feet away from her. “Yes!” She kissed the phone and pressed the power button turning it on. The time had read eleven thirty-two p.m. “Wow. It was like around nine when I had left. I think.” she dialed a number then she pressed send.
----------
The house was dark. The children were sound asleep in their beds. The adults were on a cruise ship of luxury drifting on a sea of relaxation and pleasant dreams. The house was filled with peaceful, quiet, not even a cricket, silence.
Ring! Ring! (the ring tone is of your personal choice)
It had rung for some time until someone, finally, answered. “Hello?”
“Andrew, are you sleeping?”
“I was.” His voice was soft and his eyes were closed as he spoke. Trying his hardest not to fall asleep while on the phone with her, he tossed the covers off of his warm body and sat in the bed. The floor was a stinging cold as his feet had just landed on what seemed like the surface of an ice burg. He yawned wiping the sleep from his eyes. She hadn’t yet replied. “Katie?”
There was a bit of silence before she spoke. “Can…can you come and get me?” Her voice sounded as if she was afraid.
He stood up. “What’s wrong?”
“There was no party. He lied.” She sounded as if she was holding back from crying. “He just wanted, sex.”
“Wait, did he touch you? Did you have sex with him?” He somehow found himself at the other end of the room.
“No…”
“Where are you?”
“I-I don’t know.”
He had put his shirt on. “Uncie Drew. Where are you going?”
“No where, go back to bed Lizzie.”
“Lizzie’s up?”
“Yeah. You have no idea where you’re at?” He slipped his shoes on.
“No.” There was a rustling noise as she stood up. “Its grassy, a bunch of trees scattered around, and a couple of hills, and no houses or anything.”
He thought for a moment. “I know where its at.” He grabbed his keys off of the dresser. “Its about a two hour drive, but I’ll be there as fast as I can.”
“Okay. But please hurry though.” She hung up the phone.
“I’m thirsty.” Lizzie pushed the covers off of her small frame with her feet. “Can you get me some water?”
“I cant Lizzie. I have to get Katie.” He picked her up. “I’ll take you to your room.”
“Then can you get me some water?”

He had taken Lizzie to her parents, and now he is in his jeep driving to Katie’s location. He was going over ninety miles per hour and was nearly there.
He reached for his cell phone that lay atop of the dashboard and pressed send, twice. It rang a couple of times, no answer. He pressed send two times again, let it ring, but he got the voicemail once again. He ended the call. “****.” He said softly, then pressed the gas down for more speed.
He pulled into a stop as he reached the destination. He placed the gear in park and turned off the ignition leaving the head lights on so he could see. He didn’t see her as he looked around.
He stepped out and as he was walking around, he stepped on something that broke beneath his feet. Not leaves. Not a twig. But Katie’s lip gloss that she always carries with her.
He walked down the hill, “Katie!” he yelled. He walked a little ways when he received no response, and halted on a small hill and looked around. “Katie.” He saw her curled up into a little ball in the grass and dandelions just lying there. He hurried down the hill and knelt down when he reached her. She was sleeping, he smiled and picked her up, bridal style.
He walked back to the jeep and, gently, placed her body on the seat. He slid in after. “Mm..” She wrapped her arms around his mid section, still asleep. He smiled and started up the jeep.

He had carried her up two flights of stairs and into his bedroom. He lay her fragile body on his bed, ever so gently, removing her shoes from her small feet. He noticed the cut on he left knee.
Walking into the bathroom wetting a white cloth with warm water, he opened the medicine cabinet taking out a Band-Aid that would be large enough for the cut. Turning the light off, he walked back to the bed where his “patient” lay resting.
She shifted as he cleaned off the cut with the cloth. It wasn’t a deep, or very large cut, but like any new tear in the flesh, it must of stung a slight bit. He covered it with the Band-Aid, then pulled the covers over her. He turned and was making his way to the sofa on the other end of the room. There was no need of undressing himself for he had already done so. He was bared chest and was wearing red and white basketball shorts. “Wait..” he turned to see Katie sitting up, partially. “lay with me until I fall asleep.” he stood there not knowing whether or not he should, or if he should just go to his sofa. “Please..” he thought it over for a few seconds, then walked the little ways back over to the bed, sliding under the covers next to her.
They faced one another, both looking deep into one another’s eyes. She rested her head on her right arm and grabbed his with her left, placing his right arm around her tiny waist. She scooted closer to him until they were not even less than two inches apart, still looking into each others eyes. “Thank you.” her eyes closed shut and she had fallen into a deep sleep in less than a minute. Andrew, too tired to leave the bed, pulled her closer so that their bodies were now touching, combining his body heat with hers to make one fire, fell asleep as well.
