Judas called a scribe and told the scribe he had something important for him to write. The scribe asked who the story would be about. Judas said the story will be about Jesus. he said, "I want you to write about the death of Jesus, and it's implications for the Roman Empire". The scribe was puzzled, he asked, "How can I write about the death of Jesus if Jesus is not dead? I heard that Jesus was seen in the city preaching a sermon just a few days ago." Judas smiled, and put his hand on the scribe's shoulder, and said. "Oh, yes, my friend, I understand your concern for truth and accuracy, but I assure you, I am not distorting the truth or engaging in any kind of subterfuge. Jesus is not dead but he soon will be. In only a few days, Jesus will die, he will be crucified like a common criminal." The scribe was astounded to hear this. The scribe said, "Jesus is a popular religious cult leader, he is one of the most popular leaders in the middle east, who would want to kill him?"

Judas said, "There are evil elements everywhere, and there is an unseen group that has already made threats against Jesus, it will probably be only a matter of days before he is killed." The scribe shouted, "This in incredible!" Judas said, "There is much more to the story! After Jesus is killed, there will be an outpouring of grief all over the middle east. Thousands of people all over the middle east will mourn the death of Jesus. The small cult founded by Jesus will grow larger and larger until it becomes a great religion! It will become one of the greatest religions in the world! The scribe was stunned, he said, "That's impossible! I can't write something like that!" Judas told the scribe that this story was more important than he could possibly imagine. Judas said, "The rise of a religion based upon the teachings of Jesus will have a profound effect upon the Roman Empire. The religion founded by Jesus will become the official religion of the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire will change it's name. It will be called the Holy Roman Empire!"

The scribe was shocked to hear this. He said,"The Roman Empire was founded on blood! The Roman Empire was created with the sword! For years, Roman soldiers have slain the enemies of the empire in bloody battles! The Roman Empire will not bow down to any religion!" Judas said, "I know it sounds impossible, but it is true. Religion will be incorporated into the Roman Empire. Religion will become an integral part of the Roman Empire, and the Holy Roman Empire will become a religious regime. But it can only happen if the blood of Jesus is spilled. Jesus will become a martyr, he will be remembered as a messiah of peace, and the Holy Roman Empire will be the foundation of everlasting peace in the middle east, in Europe, and throughout the world." The scribe thought about it for a moment, and said, "So, what do you want me to do?" Judas said,"I want you to write about Jesus, and his role in the Holy Roman Empire, but you must not write about it until after Jesus is dead." The scribe raised his eyebrows and said, "Oh,really!" Judas said, "Don't worry,you can trust me!"
