"A Dark Wind"

A Dark Wind ch.3  by AndrewLamar

Gary arrived at the EastPointe Mall at a quarter to seven. His stop at a gas station along the way to change in to wardrobe had added twenty minutes to his time. His dark blue suite sat in a gym bag in the trunk, next to his bag of "tools". He now sported a black leather jacket, navy blue jeans, and a pair of black running shoes to finish the disguise.

Gary patroled the parking lot to the tune of AC/DC, snapping his fingers and bopping his hands against the steering wheel as he did so. It was a Terrible Tuesday, so mall traffic was considerably light. Even so, Gary reversed and parked in to the most crowded lane he could find. He cut the engine, but let the AC/DC continue to do their thing. He eyed himself in the rearview mirror with a grin,"Who are you?". Gary looked around the car as if someone would answer, then brought his gaze back to the rearview mirror." No really, who the **** are you, man!?", Gary had to fight not to burst with laughter. Reaching in to his dashbox, Gary grasped a make-up kit. He pops it open, and begins applying the tan make-up to his face."I know who you are", Gary grinned as he applied make-up to his cheeks,"Your name is Laredo, and your so **** cool you should be on a box of cigarettes!". Chuckling to himself, Laredo kills the radio, and dawns his wig of black hair. He finishes with a orange baseball cap, and opens the door, but stops from getting out to take one last look into the rearview mirror. "Go get em tiger", grinned Laredo.

How could I have been so stupid!, Laredo brooded, Its a god damn tuesday! **** Tuesday! ****! ****! ****! I'll never find a canidate in this place. Gar--Laredo walked with a bounce from shop to shop, looking for that perfect person. No not him, thought Laredo as he passed a middle-aged white male, Too **** fat! He'll probably bleed hershey's chocolate all over my shoes. Laredo passed a Forever 21 shop, stopping to check out a young black male. No not him either, Laredo whined, Everbody knows niggers kill niggers. Wouldn't be worth it.

Laredo cruised the mall for thirty minutes more, until he gave up and ploped down on a white bench. People passed by, but Laredo paid them no attention. He sat there for twenty minutes and pouted, before he decided to head back home.  It was not until he reached the main Mall entrance, that Laredo found a unexpected grin on his face. He could feel his heart beat quicken, his hands sweat, and a slight bulge in his jeans. There is a God,  Laredo believed.

The family of four walked out of the entrance of the Mall, heading towards their car, Laredo suspected. The husband was balding, but mascline with a real educated look about him.  Oh yeah, Laredo  judged, he'll squeal. The young boy, looked like a total nerd, his curly orange hair, striped shirt, and jean shorts two sizes too small for him. Screams victim to me, Laredo drooled. The teenage daughter walked slightly a far from her family. She was apart of the Lindsey Lohan generation, with her fancy Ipod, tube top, short skirt, and flip flops. You no class bitch, Laredo accused. Laredo eyed the wife last. She was the deciding factor for him. The nail in the coffin, if you will. Her short cut brunette hair bounced when she walked, and her polka dot dress swayed. The red lipstick she wore smothered her lips, like somebody Laredo knew. "Jackpot", Laredo snarled to himself.

While keeping an eye on the family, Laredo rushed back to his car, turned it on, and threw it in drive. He watched the family pile into a green mini van two lanes over, and speed up to get behind them. The family in the green mini van pulled out of the parking lot, stopping at a light, not knowing the dark force about to alter their lives for ever.
