Memoir Blues of a Chaos God : Chapter Two  by Althorian

She uttered my name.

Such things are not unheard-of, of course.

But that is the first time I've heard that name mentioned since I was granted my new life.

It stirs memories of pain and suffering. I must not allow myself to return to that life, in memory or in any other form. To do so would risk the unmaking of me.

Time passes in a different fashion for me but still I remain, to a small degree, at the mercy of the lords of time.

But now I have another purpose. An honourable cause, I would never have been able to serve in life. But in undeath, I am free to serve a greater master than the much flawed deities that those humans are so fond of.

I must move to the next stage of this purpose that I serve.

The future must be altered.

The cause? The old lady I just unmade, unwittingly served another power in her life that will not be changed by such a obvious ploy as unmaking.

This force I will not speak of but I will say one thing. Although humans may be depraved and decadent, this level is enough for the work we must do. It will only serve to destroy all we like to manipulate if this level is exceeded.

This lady, was involved in a scheme that altered the course of the human future. Although seemingly harmless this old crone had time re-arranged around her. An unmaking will not change something caused by another power.

The source of this temporal rift will be rooted out. I will stop at nothing to see the work of the master completed.

When this rift is closed so is the shift that occured around the life of the crone.

And our plan for the human race can evolve into it's final phase.
