As I wander the streets

Of an unknown city.

My mind ponders upon

How it reached this point.

Whether choice determines

Who we are.

I am myself.

My life determines what I am.

I can choose to turn left

Or right.

Will my choice affect

Where I end up.

Or will my life remain unchanged.

I do not know.

Yet still I turn,

Bound to my fate.

I do not remain still.

For I wish more from my life.

I will continue to turn.

Until I am

What I choose to be.
