I have a main character and I've described her like me, but she isn't me. She carries on similar traits and features, but I've made her so fearful, as to me, I get scared when someone turns off the lights! Someone runs towards me, I run away! Get where I'm going? But I've made my main character the person I'd like to be and I think that's always special or important. She's my hero. How about you?

I have a wizard whose sole "claim to fame" would be that he's something of a failure at magic-use, at least in the eyes of his fellows. To compensate, he has to approach a problem (ie a fight, learning something hard, etc) from a physical standpoint. It also helps (from a comedic standpoint) that he's somewhat clueless socially, due to his many years of book learning and isolation (because he's a wizard in a world that fears magic).

I based my main character on myself, the lost and going nowhere on Earth, numeral uno, me. Everyone in my story, except for the alien's of course (All Aboard) is based on a family member or a friend. My characters are the John Waynes' and Charles Bronsons' and the Clint Eastwoods' or their female lady counter parts that we probably will never ever be.

I based my main character on many of the stupid people I have met in my lifetime. I am not even close to developing my character Schlongwagon but I plan on making him this heroic but very ignorant character who goes on a quest to save the ____.

A lot of my characters are heavily flawed. I like flaws in a characters personality. Flaws make you human, they give you reasons to work on the character and develop their personality. It's always the little things like that!

Some of my characters have quite a plain personality, easy to see. Kiana, for instance, is an outspoken kind of character who likes to lighten up the mood with sarcasm, and she's quite playful, but in the story, she has an affliction that made it so that her leg is permanantley twisted. She's not really the main character, though. Lashen has a formal and kind of plain personality at first, but as I get deeper into the story you'll see that he had his childhood taken from him and when with trusted friends, he gets pretty playful. I gotta say, my main character is actually my least favorite. Even the "bad guy" in the story had a better character, and you don't meet him until I get to chapter 10!
