A Saga with two storylines, ten chapters each. The first chapters are written so I need eighteen additional authors, nine for each storyline to complete Houlgrave's Medias Saga. I'll take the first eighteen to respond to this post, but let me know which storyline you want to continue.

How do I "claim" a chapter in your comedy? DO I just mash on?

I have posted a chapter. It might not be quite what you expect, but I rather liked how it came out. Let me know what you think.

I also posted a chapter. Other storyline. And if we're talking about what people don't expect, I'd have to say this ranks pretty high.

I read, voted, and commented. It was a very good post Nash. I like how these two epics are evolving, one starting from poetic to normal prose, the other continuing with the poetic form. Let's hope some others will soon help us with this project.

I'd like to follow Nashvillebecker with chapter 3 on the first storyline.

So after reading nash's chapter I sort of wrote a follow up, and now I see an_dochasach claimed it first. :) Anyway, I put it up in draft but not final. Is it okay to publish as a separate path, and not as part of the contest?

P.S. I'm afraid it may be more Suess than Homer, but that's all I got.

I read your contribution and liked it. It wasn't bad at all. I think it should be allowed to be after Nash, and an_dochasach can go after you, if thats alright with him. If not, perhaps your chapter might be able to fit after his. Whatever happens, I liked it and think it fits somewhere.

Thanks, Cheeseliker. Butan_dochasach, that's not at all necessary, as I'm perfectly happy for my chapter to dangle outside the project. But should you wish to include it before yours, that's fine with me too.
I also read your draft, and its beautifully written.

Tisk tisk Wolfram;)We can leave the decision up to an_dochasach I think. He definitely can still have CH3 if he wants it...

Sorry I was on vacation last week at the edge of earth. I like wolfram's and don't mind following with chapter 3 or having mine sit outside the project. I'll see if I can tune up mine to more closely follow Wolfram's, maybe abandon the reverse alphabet thing though it was a fun challenge.

Thanks for being a good sport. I think they're both great so I'm stoked you're ok with re-posting and nobody has to hang outside:)

I'll admit to being hesitant to post a chapter after all of the exceptional writing on this project, both poetry and prose. But I'll take a stab at the chapter after Cheeseliker for Getgo.

I've posted a chapter. Not sure if its what's expected, but I think it leaves additional threads for the next to weave.

I would like to be apart of Getgo. It's a great storyline. I'm itching to continue it. Can I write the next chapter or is Deveraux going to add a chapter?

I'd say honeygloom should give him a day or two to respond that he's working on it or let you take his place. We can't wait forever, and its been a week or so. I'd like to see these storylines continued.

I'd like to give this a try, but I confess I'm confused. Do I just start mashing on a current chapter? How do you claim a chapter? HELP!

I want to join the Getgo line. When I click on the claim a chapter link, it brings me here....so should I just work off the initial thread?

Well you have to wait for two others to post a chapter first, then your up. You have to go to the actual storyline, find the last chapter, then click 'add a chapter'.

Is there a set limit of time we have to finish our chapters? Nothing more than a week I would guess, correct?

I haven't set a limit, just because this is a new thing and I wanted to see how it worked before I started imposing a lot of rules. The quicker the better of course, but I don't want to mess with your creative process:)

This looks to me to be in the right spot. Where were you expecting it to show up?

I assume that I am waiting on Deveraux and XfionaX to publish their chapters before doing mine. Just checking to make sure I understand the process. Thank you!

I second that. It's been two weeks and he hasn't logged back on since then.

Fair enough, if Deveraux logs back in they can have a later chapter. Let the writing begin!

Sorry....I really don't have the time to crank something out. Im battling major writers block and my schedule has gotten really hectic. I'd like to give my spot to ladyadelia. Hopefully I can get something in in the future but for now i can't. :(

I finally got it out and tacked it on after Reverie. Let me know if that was the proper way of doing it. Also, I apologize for the legth it took me awhile to come up with what I did and I was a bit more apprehensive than I thought I would be.

LadyA, adding your story to the end of the prior chapter is the way to do it. Can't wait to see what you've posted.

Hi djinndarme & Lady A! I read that you each wanted to contribute another chapter. I'd say if no one else jumps in by Wednesday, go for it. I've enjoyed your contributions so far and would love to see more;)

Since I haven't seen anything from LadyA, I am posting the next chapter. This is breaking out of my mold, but I tried to further the storyline to where I thought a Chapter 4 should be.

If I had the time I'd offer to take another chapter myself but perhaps later. Great addition to the storyline djinndarme. My favorite by far, I like it even better then my own.

Wow, thanks Cheeseliker. That is a compliment. I enjoy this storyline and didn't want to see it die, so I locked myself indoors yesterday with a cafe mocha. Wonder how the story would have turned out if it had been a martini?

Honeygloom, can you tell me when my chapter will be added to the list of completed chapters on the Projects page? LadyA's is the last one showing. I don't want anyone to think there's been no progress on the Medias saga.

I just posted another addition to 'Getgo'--titled "Kylana", right after djinndarme's continuation. I really hope thats o.k. It said, 'claim your chapter here', so I just kind of did. Am I in the wrong Honey, should I have asked you first? Ahhh...

I think I will add another contribution to the Getgo storyline. If someone else posts here before I get one up though, by all means they can have it. It will likely be a week or so until I have it up.

Greetings ‘Medias’ mashers. I have posted the next chapter in the ‘Getgo’ line. I’m not sure how to get my name to appear on the project page…in the chapter list? Anyway, had a ton of fun crafting this chapter. This was an awesome project. I hope it picks up some steam so we can all follow it to completion.
Honey, if we struggle to find willing artists to craft chapters let me know. I’ve fallen for this storyline and would be delighted to contribute again at some point.

Dog, I did just what you are doing here. Posted a note that my chapter needed to be added to the project page. Honey was observant enough to get it added shortly thereafter. Great addition to the saga, by the way.

I'm thinking about jumping back in. Actually, could I have the last chapter? I think I could end it quite well.

Oh, and I don't think it needs to end in two chapters unless we all think thats a good idea. I don't think anyone would mind if we extended it a bit but then, what do I know? Anyways, let me know if I can have the last chapter, and I do not care how many chapters go before me.

Cheese, if you want the final chapter that's cool with me. I imagine you have a pretty good idea of what you want to happen so have at it. I can't wait to see what you've got cooking:)

And Eleven jump in any time. I love this storyline as well, but we seem to be in the minority:) as not too many people volunteer/follow through with it.

As for the ending. I think because I've had such a hard time filling spots I'd like to see it end in two chapters.

Alright, so I'd say the next chapter is first come first serve. Whoever wants it take it. Dog,lady, dkk, or whoever, get on it and lets finish this!

Cheese, you've been talking about doing another chapter since I posted "Rubicon". I'd love to see what you have in mind. (Like to think I have an idea, but you've surprised me in the past.)
I love this storyline too and another chapter or two would be welcomed.

Okay, so it looks like there are still three of us interested in this. Just a thought...for the sake of wrapping this 'project' up, like Honey said, we should finish this bit up in two. However, it doesn’t have to end there. Cheese...your last chapter could leave it open for a continuation. I dunno. Just a thought.
Because there are only two left, I don’t think I should follow myself. We need someone to take on the next chapter before Cheese caps it.

Just to finish that thought...(I got all excited and accidentally clicked save before I was done.) We could continue it outside the project area, on SM...on our own. Just alternate chapters. Maybe we could even get Honey to add one?? (wink wink)

Glad to see the sage still generating excitement. It's a great idea. I'd be happy to help continue Medias on or off SM. Later generations is a good avenue to take. Tales of Jafar's travels or S'arrah's origins would also be interesting.

The saga is apparently still exciting as I've lost my command of spelling and grammar.

I totally want to add a chapter to this storyline. It is one of my faves for sure. I never made a rule saying I couldn't add to my own projects... And it is for the sake of finishing it up right? How about if no one has claimed the next chapter by Satruday night/Sunday I'll write it. Then Cheese can finish it off. Cool? Then if we need to continue it with Arnon's son we can always start it as a new project. It'll be the Bloodseeker Chronicles or something. I love it:)

phew, here we go. I will begin working on this and solely this for awhile.

Alas, it is completed, at least, for now...Go check it out to see what I mean. I hope you all deem it a decent end to this tale. I did leave it wide open for a sequel of sorts. Anyways, thanks to all of you, this was alot of fun.

A'ight. I wanted to continue the left branch of the epic, but I was lost and confused with the story after Slant ran off.

The project rules aren't posted anywhere. Basically when a project is posted you claim your chapter on the corresponding forum. If all the chapters are claimed I'll put you down as an alternate.

I think the only project with an opening right now is the children's story, Zorro. It needs an author for chapter 3.
