I'm an avid steampunker! And yes, I've spawned some good characters and gadgets based off steampunk tech. :)

I'm obsessed :P I especially enjoy the online steampunk comics (Girl Genius, Shadowbinders, that sort of thing), because I'm an artist as well as an author.

Oh, then you'll love this! A friend of mine has his own online comic company and is in the process of creating a steampunk comic. It's still in the beginning phases but you can see his sketches and stuff on his site:

Not yet but I probably will. I also write fanfiction and made and entire Alternate Universe fic where one of my characters is a steampunk master, as in built like a steampunk freakin' tank with crazy weapons and everything, lol. He's so fun to play with! That makes me think doing an original steampunk story would be very appealing to me. :)

yeah i have one all outlined out in one of my notebooks, complete with character sketches (literally), gadget sketches, etc (i tend to think very visually and i always draw my stories before i write them). It will probably be my next major peice but I'm still finishing up the last one (I'm on notebook #4...so close!).

I come up Steampunk awesome art on the CG Hub and some good pieces on deviantART. As for literature I have yet to delve in and buy a new addiction. Isn't Clockwork Orange a steampunk novel?

I honestly have no idea. The only Steampunk books I have read are the Leviathan series (They're very good, I would reccomend them, although they are geared toward slightly younger readers).
