I'm Derek R. Baker, AKA Houlgrave; 19-year old genius, and the among the most lazy, insipid, inactive and talented writers currently here on StoryMash. /hubris off Well, returning to the State of Serious now, I'll talk a little about what I'm doing; currently writing a couple of sword-and-sorceryish short stories called The Sequences of Human Hunter Demnok (or The Details of our Ending cycle), and an odd novel of sorts called "Dmitry's Thanatour"- a work that is my shot at a dark fiction, genre-bridging epic. Good stuff; the problem is sitting down and writing more than 100+ words a day. XD Hope to be getting published within the next three years here, though I know its a difficult process. Plus the manuscripts themselves need to be finished.... Anyway, I love this site and I'm glad to meet all of you. :) PS: CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN EDITOR |

I don't know what help I'd be as an official editor, but I'd love to read them and I'll give you any help I can. |

Hey! Cool! We needed a 19 year old genius! I'm the 49 and almost 50 year old genius. I think we have most of the ages covered by now. ;o) Welcome! |

OS - I'll be your backup, since I'm a 45-year-old genius. But I am the High Priestess of Limericks. (Don't know why, just thought I'd throw that in.) |

Okay. But I hope I never leave a vacant spot!! I was wondering about the gender (needlessly) but I think this post may have a clue... I'll study it at length and see if I can't discover the answer. It's tricky. Even for a genius! ;o) |

You know, Sim, I get that a lot. I guess my 'voice' sounds a bit masculine to a lot of people, which can be highly amusing, let me tell you. Think a tall red-headed Mae West type. |

Well, then I don't mind mentioning Andre Alice Norton, as well as Asimov. Guys can't handle that comparing them to females thing. |

Hehe, definitely a tad masculine. Except you write too much... |

Hehe. When I mean editor, I just mean someone to look over my writing and point out discrepencies, issues with tense, ect. Nice to see so many eager beavers who want to help....XD |
