StoryMash awarded $510 in cash prizes to winners of the Fourth Creative Writing ContestOver 200 chapters competed in this creative writing contest, with over 5000 community members reading and contributing their votes. Thanks to everyone in our writing community who joined in and made the fourth StoryMash creative writing contest another spectacular success! |
Here is how the contest worked:
On April 20th 2008, there were 85 start chapters ranked 4.0 or above that had no subchapters. These are great examples of creative writing and their stories should be continued.
To enter this writing contest writers simply wrote and published chapters which continued any one of those stories between April 21st, 2008 and Midnight June 20th, 2008 UTC.
As with our other writing contests the winning contest entries were determined by the ranking of our creative writing community. Unlike our past contests ranking was continued one week longer than entries were accepted , the ranking period ended before midnight, June 27th, 2008
The Runner Ups
Thanks to all the talented authors of our creative writing community that submited contest entries. Many are excellent examples of creative writing, check them out.
Note: The ranking of the chapters reflects their current ranking which may be different than the rank they had when the writing contest ended.
