The Afterlife: After the final HAC deadline
Thank you all for your hard work and (shriek!)editing. We here at StoryMash enjoyed reading all of your submissions and now must hide in our dark corners and stitch together the final product. The decisions we make won’t be easy ones and some of you might hate us for making them (some of you already do). But we’ll suffer if we have to; this anthology must be the scariest inanimate thing to exist on the face of the earth. If you haven’t heard from StoryMash already regarding your submission, you’ll hear from us by November 9th.
As for the HAC Mash on the Projects Page, you’ve been neglectful. I’m killing off everything but Harvest. If there isn’t a storyline ending in a sixth chapter by November 9th, Harvest dies too. I don’t like the bloodshed, honestly, but I’ll do what I have to.
So tickle a pit bull, lick a toad, or just cross your fingers, good luck to all, and to all a happy Halloween.

In general, I'm enjoying contributing but fast coming to the conclusion that we, the contributors are a little egocentric and self centered. We don't seem to read anyone else's stuff. I've written 2 chapters and contributed 3 to to stories I thought had potential and yet, nothing ever happens. Have you editors heard similar complaints. Do we all want to be "the man", or stars, or something. |

I checked your profile and since January you've only left 4 comments. I've seen your complaint often and the best remedy is to read and leave thoughtful comments on other stories. This is a community and the best way to be a part of it and to get to know other writers is to comment. Most writers will reciprocate and before you know it you'll have tons of people reading your stuff. |
