Wow it's happened so fast. StoryMash is live after only five developer weeks.
Of course we aren't done yet. Not by a long shot. There are many features we know we want to implement. There's small improvements to be made all over, especially with help text. And sadly bugs happen, our list is growing a bit long.
But, StoryMash is there! The basic functions, writing chapters, reading/ranking/discussing chapters, comment voting, are all done. And you are using them. Very exciting.
I'm even more excited to see were you take StoryMash. We started by building the website we want to use. But, how it ends up being used we've intentionally left open. Our ideas are out there, now we want to see and hear yours so we can build the StoryMash you love to use.

I'd like to see some emphasis on voting. It seems that a lot of people read but don't bother to vote. When I see a story has 25 reads and only 3 votes I have to wonder if the stats are being properly recorded. Part of the appeal of this site is the fact that I might get some feedback. It comes in two flavors here, comments and voting. Come on, how about a little cheerleading to 'get out the vote'? |
